Agree. Auburn is in the mindset of go big or go home. If they can't land a big name they keep chiz which is why all the buzz about him possibly staying.
There are three other SEC teAms looking for a head coach and Auburn is in a very tight spot competition wise and with money. BITTG!

This thread brings up a few questions to me.
1. Does jim's buyout drop that much next year? If it's not a huge drop, why keep him? Every horrible year they have is going to make it harder to pull out of the hole.
2. Would Stoops leave OK by choice or by force? If by force, who does OK think they are going to get better than Stoops? If by choice, AU? Really?
3. How can AU possibly handle the public blacklash of keeping Jim? And it seems like there's some friction between coaches already. Think ahead to this time next year with no coaching change. Even if the AD is replaced, nothing is going to change in the locker room.
That said, I say my prayers every night that Jim is there for a long time.
