After Saban's comments last week about the hurry-up offenses, I can't see him wanting to coach on the Big 12. No worries.

I believe they hire Bobby Petrino.
If Bobby hadn't fallen off that bike he would most likely be their #2 candidate right behind Saban. Since Saban isn't leaving Alabama Petrino would have been their #1 be default.
I also don't think Texas holds morality in as high of a regard as some suggest. They control their media and their message and don't have to worry about what others say. They will hire him and then write story after story about how great of a person he has become. The media will eat it up.
Petrino is a great coach and would be great there with the talent he would be able to get.
Thanks, I know last year UT started the rumor and I am sure it was in part to hurt recruiting. Like I said in my post I dont think it will ever happen, not to the Shorthorns nor to Cleveland either but thanks for that info
Cleveland reporter coming on 97.3 in a minute. Will post if she shoots latest rumor down.
She was a Cleveland homer and couldn't defend or deny the rumor. However she said she doesn't know why saban would leave Alabama.

Also, get ready for "Saban to the Browns" as well.
Word is Haslam's cleaning house at the end of the season.
After Saban wins his 4th NC at Alabama, he should
1. send the media on a wild goose chase by creating rumors that he'll coach in the NFL, texas, notre dame, etc...then
2. give everyone the ol' "Degeneration X" sign... and then
3. go coach Pee Wee football until he's 80.

Alabama can come up with any amount of to match anybody, I think if he wins another NC his challenge would be to tie or beat Bryant record, A legacy that would last forever
