I didnt know AJ decided on the Sooners the night before signing day. Glad he changed his mind lol. He also says that he learned at an early age to take things with his family regarding football games with "a grain of salt", never heard that one lol. RTR
Through countless big games at Alabama, AJ McCarron has proved that he has no problem handling the pressure that comes with playing quarterback in Tuscaloosa, writes Chris Low.

"We used to have parties, and we'd gather up and watch the game on Saturdays when I was little, and you could hear my whole family going nuts and cursing at people, so I've seen it all," McCarron said. "I know to take everything with a grain of salt.
grain of salt? what's he talking about?
Grain of salt . That needs to go into the BOL dictionary for sure.
Grain of Salt? People are gonna think our players are idiots...
I think he was actually talking about this occurring before his announcement, rather than NSD. That's when AJ did the trick with the green UA hat.
I use the term "grade of saw" on my wichita state message boards and people blasted me like I insulted their momma. Told me to go back to Germany .. all Midwesterners use "grain of salt"
Good ol AJ messing with us..... that was a shout out to his BOL rabid fanbase. ha!
You should really give them a history lesson on where the term grade of saw came from.
He might need you to remind him.
Quick history lesson, in the early saw making days collusion and corruption ran rampant in the industry. There were lots of saw makers that were clearly over grading the quality of the saws they were producing, it got so bad that the general public could no longer really tell the grade of the saw they were purchasing so they coined the phrase "grade of saw" when they were skeptical of something. Chances are that if you are the son of a sawmaker you have some criminal activity in your family tree.
Thanks. I laugh every time I read it.
It is my internet masterpiece.
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't AJ commit to Bama in May like 9 months before NSD and helped big time with recruiting right up to the Trent Richardson commitment. He also had CNS over to his house to watch a game long before NSD. So,I don't get this at all. It doesn't fit with the facts.
"In fact, the night before signing day, he told his mother that he had decided on the Sooners, and she started crying."
