A little insight on D Pollard. Good info. Seems like he has a great attitude. Impressed by that.
Really need the light to come on for him next year
Check out the first interview of his college basketball career.
He has a good attitude but needs to be more aggressive.
No better time than the present...like noon today.
1960 Les Paul
Really disappointed in his contribution this season. He loves the baby hook that he's never managed to sink.
No doubt. Really needed him to come in and immediately contribute.
However, wanted to post this story. It'd be easy for a kid with such high accolades to be bitter after a season like this. But he seems willing to get better and commit himself to playing D and remain positive while his O develops.
And he does appear to recognize that he needs to get more aggressive and use his size and athleticism to take it to the bucket
I just hope he hits the weights this offseason along with working on his overall game. He is so pencil thin, he got knocked off a lot of his shots this year.
FWIW, once he gets some muscle on him, he is going to be really good at put backs on offensive rebounds, his second jump is outstanding. Not many people can immediately jump as high as their first jump when the go back up immediately with their second jump.
The game is finally starting to slow down for him. He has shown some flashes of his talent down the stretch.
He needs to hit the weights and work on his mid range jumper this summer. He and Cooper could give us crazy good slashers a la the O'Banion brothers if they do these things. Maybe not that good, but the abilities are there.
Exactly, he has let the game come to him a little more each game. Being more agressive isn't always the best thing for a young kid that has struggled. He just needs to take his time, not force things and just play ball.
Kid doesn't know he can dunk.
