Subject Matter or in this case (Trip to BCSNCG or NOT)
BCSNCG in person
-- Airline tickets from and return to my home of Johnson City TN
-- A nice rental car to drive around in the in the Florida sun
-- Some pre-game activities
-- Some down time at the hotel and probably some good food and adult beverage(s)
-- Watching a dominant performance over ND - one of which I have been waiting for since 1974
-- Wife would probably have a sexual play or two drawn up that I haven't seen or expecting (she has her own playbook)
-- Cost around $7.5k
BCSNCG in my den
-- Fine food catered from the local BBQ place called Ridgewood
-- Ample supply of adult beverages without the concern of driving an automobile afterwards
-- 18 holes at The Blackthorn Club ---- yardage 7100+
-- Game would be viewed on a 50in Plasma that is indeed awesome with a quality surround system
-- Wife would probably prance around in cute panties but no guarantees of further indulgence
-- Total cost --- approximately $750
Last variables ------ I am a financial advisor ---- I manage 10s of millions of dollars -------I am conservative ------ I love football ---- I hate ND ----- the smell of suntan oil can be intoxicating. - I have the funds available but that cash was going to used for a 7 day golf trip next year
TY for your vote

Hey they both sound good!
Talk to the hand!
I am a CPA so I can understand your thought process. Since you already have the money set aside for a vacation, I say go see Bama win #15. If you were short on cash or didn't have the cash set aside then I would lean towards staying home.
I know those rules my brother - but we are evaluating a math question here (g)
My advise as a fellow financial advisor, go take your wife to Miami to see the Tide and get back and work your ass off to save back up for golf trip. Make a New Years resolution to work your ass off and bring in 10 million next year. My wife and I will be there and I'll be working my ass off as soon as we get back.
The 7 day golf trip can always be there. Number 15 and against Notre Dame won't be.
That is a valid point ..........
No brainer.. bama vs notredame for a national title trumps 7 days of golf everytime... ask yourself this.. how many times will you get an opportunity to watch bama vs notredame for a championship??
BCS.. like previous poster said, Bama vs ND for the Championship doesn't happen every year. You can always go play golf

Be glad you didn't post this on the MB. That being said, I don't make enough money to justify going to the game. I'd stay home.
You go to the game. Then you make the golf trip.
I have similar options with a trip to Bandon Dunes likely in 2013 (my 2nd time there). But the deal is that National Championship games are not choices, they are gifts that we graciously receive, embrace and cherish for we know not when they ROLL around again. Golf trips are choices to be made with friends and that my friend is an ongoing conversation. I'd say do both. Amortize the Miami trip money over your remaining life expectancy and you will see it isn't all that expensive.
Life time memory. No contest.
I had a similar dilemma in 1992 and opted to go to the game. I almost passed because I just knew we would be back the next season. It took 19 years for us to get back. The point being you are not guaranteed that our team will ever play for the BCS Title again in your lifetime so don't miss it. Of course that logic is wearing thin on my wife after three times in four years.... Go to the game, spend a ton of money and live it up, be a highly motivated financial advisor next year and take the golf trip at another time.
Roll Tide, screw Notre Dame.
Am I the only one who is curious about the wife's playbook, and wonder if there was some way to get a member of Belichek's staff to get me a copy? It is your wife, so I'll let the pics rule slide...
THE Flagship University of Alabama since 1831.
Obviously you have not been married very long. Go to the damn game.
