O.K., I have to admit, I don't get it. What the hell do these two terms mean seriously?
Here ya go:
"Bodda Getta" is a cheer used at Auburn football games that goes, "Bodda Getta. Bodda Getta. Bodda Getta Bah. Rah-Rah-Rah. Sis-Boom-Bah. Wegl-Wegl War Damn Eagle, Kick 'em in the butt Big Blue -- Hey!"
See article below on Ole Miss Cheer, "Hotty Toddy"
I guess both of these are like our "Rammer Jammer"
Ole Miss and s one of many strong, proud traditions in the SEC...

To add a little more. My cousin who are big time aubs informed me that "Bodda Getta" started out as "body getter". Apparently their band started saying this whenever the defense made a big hit, but the aubs' lack of intelligence coupled with the bands lack of proper English turned the phrase into "Bodda Getta"

I think it's cool to make up words when nothing else works.
Back in the day, I ran a 3.9 in the 20
yeah, like Jerdan. morons
Hotty Toddy dates back to the late 1800's and it references the ongoing hotness of the co-eds at Ole Miss. Originating from the phrase "Hot little Tot", the ladies of the grove became known as "Hotty Totties". Lewd conduct, alcohol and opium abuse ran wild through the grove in those days, and the "Hotty Totties" offered "services" to young men back in those days in order to draw young men to the grove to play football. Young men of the grove, and potential recruits could summon these ladies by entering into the grove at night and calling "Hottie Totty". Mired in scandal of lewed and illegal activity, Ole Miss attempted to cover up this activity by creating a catchy cheer to alter the perception of the phrase "Hotty Totty". In doing so the spelling was changed to "Toddy" as to not relate the phrasing to the female student body.
Bodda Getta originated down in auburn around the same time. They had heard about the system going on up in Oxford to recruit young men to come to their university. Not having any women attractive enough to offer recruits, The Aubs had to come up with another offering to entice recruits. That is when their well known love of farm animals started. Date night at auburn for a young player / recruit would begin by standing at Toomer's corner. The player/recruit would toss a white hankercheif up in the old oak trees to signal to the neighboring farmer that there was interest in a member of the fold. This indication would be confirmed by shouting "Barna Getta!", which obviously meant "get me something from the barn". Once this scandal broke out in Auburn, and word got out of their misdeeds, Auburn (in typical fashion) couldn't come up with their own ideas in how to deal with this situation. They sent a young man by donkey to Oxford to find out how they covered up the Hottie Totty scandal. The young man traveled for 40 days when he ended up in Athens, GA. Realizing that he made a wrong turn in Montgomery he headed back the other direction finally getting to Oxford a year later. He returned to Auburn the next winter with the plan to cover up the scandal, which by now had gone national. Auburn proceeded to try to save face and made up their own cheer incorporating the phrase Barna Getta, but also changing the name to "Bodda Getta" in order to protect the reputation of the farm animals. The young man who made the perilous journey to obtain the plan for cover up was celebrated for years by throwing toilet paper in the Toomer Oaks after each home win. Years ago, new evidence surfaced that "Barna Getta" was still going on down at Auburn. That evidence resided in the barn where the special stock was kept. This evidence was about to be uncovered and the news broken, when suddenly the barn was set ablaze during a football game with LSU. The evidence was burned with the barn.

Hotty Toddy refers to the male students views of the girls at Ole Miss.
Bodda Getta refers to the male student views of the men at the barn. Greek for "getting booty".
This made my day. Wow!!
I believe the term bodda getta is Italian for ass sniffer.

Never Gets Old
I always thought Bodda Getta was a Stars Wars character
Those people in auburn are strange.
And I thought it was a Hindu holy book with blue skinned deities with extra arms and such.
This is fantastic! And sadly, Probably has a lot of truth, we all know the barn (aka the cult) and ok state like giving recruits a choice of farm animals.
A big +1 for you!!!
:) :) :)

Close..it's Sicilian for booger eater.
I thought everyone knew about Hotty Totty. The AU one is the single dumbest chants in all of sports. "kick em in the butt big blue"??? What are we in middle school? They still hold pep rallies in the gym? The players wear jerseys on Fridays around campus too?
