Turnovers...6 of them if you count 4th downs.
"You don't always get what you want, but you always get what you deserve"
That tells me that the Georgia D is rather porous.
Not really...GT always puts up a lot of yards. Nobody totally keeps them from moving the ball. Now finishing drives. & stopping the other team is the real issue.

BYU (7-5) stuffed GaTech and only gave up 157 total yards with no offensive TDs (only one FG). VaTech (6-6) gave up 288 yards.
GT drove up and down the field in the first quarter. But Rambo stripped the ball out twice. UGA played very aggressive on D against Tech.
Bama gave uP 321 yds rushing to ga southern last year. I know they had two straight weeks of option football to get ready for it. But I don't really think its a fair assessment of a defense.

Georgia Tech is a triple option offense so I am not sure how much you can tell by that. They also were not challenged at all. They played one defense (BYU) in the top 50 in total defense and BYU completely shut them down. UGA gave up a yard and half more PER PLAY.
But anyway, I just don't think that tells you much.
Tennessee, Mizzo, Kentucky and a few other
teams moved the ball up and down the field on them.
