"Character" is doing the right thing when nobody is looking.
Upshaw said in the Ole Miss game, when he recorded two sacks after being suspended for the first quarter, Ed Stinson told him, “Those should have been mine.”
Upshaw shot back, “You should have got them. They’re my sacks now.”
These guys are so hungry. I love it!
Ty for posting...

That's great. I worked with a lady that told me she had to stay late after every game because her husband was from Eufala and "some player from there" would come out to just speak to their daughter. I asked her of she meant Courtney Upshaw and she had no idea what his name was but didn't want to deny the girl the opportunity to meet a player, even if it's the same guy every time.
Super article thanks for posting.
Thanks for sharing. Wonderful article about a great young man and player.
This and the article Phyllis linked on Richardson shows the difference in character expected of our players no matter if you're a star or a scrub . If you don't have the drive for excellence on and off field don't bother signing with Coach Saban because you'll end up somewhere else .
Trent and Courtney like Mark and Julio are exemplary ambassadors for UA and the coaching staff .
Great read & a great young man!
Great article, thanks for the link.
Great read. Thanks for sharing RTR

Thanks for posting. I'm amazed at how much the Alabama players give back & how humble all the players appear. Coach Saban is doing a great job turning the players into men all of us fans can be proud to call University of Alabama football players & it has nothing to do with their play on the field.
Bump.. this is a good read.. Upshaw is a good guy.. met him a few times in Euf..
