Don't buy into that BS. There are three things you have to remember. Pollack and Palmer work for ESPN. ESPN broadcasted the game. Finally, ESPN has a contract to broadcast the SEC - all of the SEC teams. It's just theatre and ratings. When ESPN looked at this game they knew it would go up against ABC carrying FSU and Miami. The ESPN knew that needed to up-sell Tennessee and they did.
I have a feeling that later today, Oregon just may be number three in the polls behind Spurrier's old team.
I try and take the media's opinion with a grain of salt. Two or three weeks ago, the media was convinced the BCS national championship game would be between Bama and WVU. Do you think anyone still believes WVU is the team to beat? The talking pundits are generally (there are exceptions) like the kids in high school that were 5 minutes too late to the coolest trend. Sometimes it's just best to take a step back and laugh.
Media is the Media.
You don't want your players listening or reading when it's good and you want them doing the opposite when it they are being dissed.
We will see what is written and said in Mid January.
Coach Saban has them on the payroll
Sure you have. You're just not a fan of those teams so it doesn't resonate with you. It will all be okay come January. Breathe.
what does "grain of salt" mean?
