TL had assists because he played PG when TR wasn't in the game. He did a decent job of finding open guys when he was at the 1. The problem was all the turnovers you left out in your stat track line above. Being a team player is more than passing the ball. It also includes supporting your coach and buying in to his program.
Best laugh of the day.....
You say Lacey was an average 3PT shooter, and while that may be true, he was 2nd on the team in 3P%. (Releford was first.)
hahahahahaha second of two and the guy ahead of him was a PG who couldn't hit a shot outside 10 ft until this year.
Stat boy....what was his assist % when he was at the two?
Half the facts and your point is still wrong. You would have done better to not post.
OH, how convenient then...he became a completely different player when he was at the PG than when he was on the wing. Gotcha. Glad you could clear that up.
So, basically, he was a slack-jawed, selfish nutbrain when he was at the 2, but he underwent a brain transplant and played much better when he was at the 1?
Can you see how flawed your logic here is? It's OK to admit when you're wrong. Really, it is. If anything, you are making pretty much everyone on this board think you are an arrogant nutjob.
Are you the same person who used to be "Monticello" over at TS? If so, then all of this makes sense. You were an ignorant little sh!t-stirrer over there as well. Whether you're currently at UA Law or have recently graduated from there; having someone of your utter ignorance and ineptitude representing my alma mater is, well, downright depressing.
BOLers: Do yourself a favor and just ignore this whackjob. Responding to him only gives him more renown amongst the trolls.

One thing I must say about your post is there are a lot of mid-major schools that have the same or lower level talent that go to the sweet 16 every yr. I think CAG should stop recruiting athletes and start recruiting basketball players that are gym rats and serious about playing his stlye of play

Fact: The D-1 average for team 3-pt shooting in '12-'13 was 33.9%.
Fact: Trevor Lacey attempted the most 3s on the team and shot 37.3%.
Conclusion: TL was an ABOVE average 3-pt shooter.
Idiot. Put words in my mouth all you want. Never said anything close to that. He did play much better at the 1. Why in the hell do you think CAG played TR at the 2 so stinking much? He was too fat to move like the 2 is supposed to. Fact is that TR is a 1 and should not have to play 2 to compensate for tubby being out of shape. The team is better with the ball in TR hands.
Fact remains. CWS and CCMN think he is the right guy and hope he will be around a long time. You and your buddies don't. The "knowledgeable" bball guys on this board agree with me. You and your buddies don't. Those who actually do support the program agree with me. You and your buddies don't. Leaves you one option if you do truly love UA...get on the bus and support our coach and not the fat boy from Huntsville who QUIT or become the Barner you were born to be.

Yep, I may be a complete dumbass but my money buys me the same access as anyone else on this site. Boards are for facts AND opinions. I always post respectfully and i know some on here could use some lessons but it's all good.

Being great is bigger than basketball. It's a way of life on and off the court or field. You stated that being good is an enemy to great. I responded by saying, being great is up to the individual. What about that makes you say wow. This is the truth on all levels of life.
Ya except CNS wins national championships and is beyond reproach. And most of the kids that transfer out of our football program are really talented players that can't crack the depth chart because it's stacked with five star talent everywhere. These two situations are nothing alike. TR didn't transfer from the football team. That's what this is akin to.
And rikwad you may have a point but being a HUGE douchebag isn't going to win anyone over. Go tell ya boy Grant to quit being a shadow of an enigma and put forth a positive face on the program. We're tired of him being the Hunch Back of Notre Dame and only making appearances when there's a bell he's contractually obligated to ring. And you're forgetting one thing, this is Grants program. All recruits that don't pan out are on him. If Lacey was eating Twinkies and Grant couldnt get thru to him then at this point its Grants failure. Its not like this is the first time, or the second, that Grant has failed to find middle ground with a player. And i can see why. I envision Grant sitting at his desk blankly staring, emotionless at his players as they try to form some kind of connection with the guy, and failing of course. The product we see on the court is all Grant and we all see not only a stagnant offense, but fundamental mistakes on par with high school players. if you don't see developmental problems I dunno what to say.
And we don't have to know the ins and outs of every play or defense we run to know that what us fans see on the court is some boring ass frustrating shit. We see how championship programs are run at Bama. We win titles in football nearly every dam year now. We're winning titles in gymnastics, both golf teams, and softball. And the one thing all those teams have in common is outstanding coaches that have bought in to Alabama and represent us and promote us in Everything they do. They bleed crimson. Grant has problems with his players and with the fans. We have no clue what kind of program Grant runs. We all know every detail of Sabans program and we know that it is so much bigger than the game of football. Its a philosphy of how to live life and it's how Saban gets through to his players. What does Grant do? Teach defense all day every day?
Hes on the clock and if you don't think regular fans have a say so then just wait till that arena is dam near empty for home games and Battle gets his shirt sleeve tugged on everywhere he goes by people wanting to know what's wrong with the basketball team. The basketball program is his best chance to make his mark at Bama for the near future. And if Grant turns it around next year all I'll say is it's about time. Odds of winning a game in the NCAA tourney.......20% (and thats dependent on players like Pollard and Jacobs actually developing so if they don't that's actually like 10%......) Odds of Lacey finding a coach that gets the best out of him and scores more than two points a game......85%.

My point was people complain when players leave the football team regardless to their talents or cracking of the rotation. COMPLAINING without knowing whats going on is what I'm talking about. It doesn't matter what sport a person tranfer from, the point is some will never conform to the process. Is that better, because I know what sport this kid played.
