Maybe just seat everyone based on age so that the younger people are closer to the field and the younger ones are on top. Then you wouldn't have to rely on how they wear their pants to judge their age.
You and me both, brother.
Same thread every year.
I would have given th guy an ear full for evn speakin at my wife like that, especially if u had jus gotten there n not had much of a chance to seat yourself yet.
Pretty soon we won't keep score anymore either because it ruins the fan base feelings when they lose too ....
And who says you cant be LOUD without standing up anyways?!?
All for people standing up and going nuts the entire game. I don't mind standing up if someone in front of me is standing up. However, 2 weekends ago there was a guy that just stood up in front of an elderly couple the whole game. He was the only guy standing up in the section. No emotion, no cheering, no movement...nothing. Literally, silence. Of course, everyone stood up for big plays, but this was the entire game. Long long story short, he eventually got escorted out for telling the elderly couple to die in a car wreck and a few other memorable phrases, and was quite intoxicated. Anyway...
I say, if you stand up, make it worth your while.
If you're going to be a mute and just stand to stand. Sit down.
We have a huge sitting problem in the state of Alabama considering that 40% of our state is obese.
Choose not a life of limitation
Getting old beats the alternative. Those of you complaining about older people should do the rest of the world a favor and take that alternative.
I had someone tell me to quit shaking my shaker. I then picked up another one for my other hand and shook two the rest of the game. I asked him if this was his first college football game--told him that's what we do at ballgames--support our team whether it's with shakers or yelling to the top of our lungs. The people around us clapped when I said that and the man got up and left. And he wasn't an old guy.
If you want sit on your ass and watch football then stay at home.
That should be on the back of BOL t-shirts so some of you guys can wear the to BDS.

I would buy one of those T-shirts. Excellent idea. Could wear that anywhere. Except church. Have to change it to sit on your butt. Just sayin. But you should get those printed.

Back in the day, I ran a 3.9 in the 20
This sounds like a guy that sits in front of us. He is broad and stands the entire 4 hours. He stares at the lights, the sky and into spacee We are all older but believe me, we stand and cheer if half way called for This guy stands through time outs. It is ridiculous and rude.. There are two sides to this story. It is row 38 if you are reading.
I sit when there's not much going on. If no one in front of me is standing and there's nothing to stand and yell about, I don't stand. I stand and yell when there's something to stand and yell about. If the people in front of me stand, I stand. It's all good with me.
But every now and the you get a fan who's just a dumba$$. At the Arkansas game in Fayetteville two years ago, there was this this idiot Hawg fan a couple of rows in front of me who stood the entire freaking game. But here's the kicker...this clown was sitting on the front row above a ramp. There was no one sitting in front of him. And this guy is standing the whole fricking game. Another Hawg fan who was right in front of me and a pretty nice guy, we just looked at each other in frustration. At one point I told him, "he's one of yours...you can tell him to sit down."
We see these threads multiple times every year. The thing is, I never know if they're started by a normal fan who just likes to stand and yell like normal fans, or by some guy like the dumba$$ in Arkansas.

I had an older couple behind me at a game one time that wouldn't or couldn't stand. Every time a big play happened the entire stadium would stand except them of course. The man never said anything, but the woman constantly screamed "DOWN IN FRONT!" over and over. After the 1st quarter she started poking me with a cane in my hamstring area. I sat down, turned around and told her that now she nor I could see b/c everyone in the stadium was standing. That's when I got the " We've been season ticket holders since blah, blah, blah" .
"Nobody makes me bleed my own blood, nobody!"
Surely at 60 you aren't instructing others around you to sit.
Nope. I'm up and down at all the games as the situation warrants as are all the other old farts who sit around me. And I can yell pretty damn loud even when I am sitting.
You should have hit him with your purse.
