Made it real easy on us!
He didn't accomplish much today!!! Hope he stays with the cheeznip
The man's a genius!!! (as long as somebody is writing big checks for QBs)
Not me, I want Malzahn gone! He does more with less. Anyone like that will bite you in the butt eventually.

This doesn't even make sense. The only time he's bitten anyone in the butt is when he's had more. With "less," he sucks.
I think he will be at the Barn for a long while......reason? Who would want him at this point? He should have jumped on the Vanderbilt train that was offered to him last year...
They are like 90-something in the nation for total offense. I want Malzahn there for a very long time. Even with Cam, they barely won 8 of their games. Gus guarantees them 4 easy wins against the 3 OOC games and at least against Ole Miss. They can easily go to a bowl game every year with Gus, so they will probably keep him for a very long time. Plus they can get silly recruits like Zeke Pike to try to build some buzz around their program. But what they haven't realized is that they have permanently etched themselves into Little Sister status for the next decade.
And I admit, as much as I hate to see delayed handoffs from the Shotgun, I'll take McElwain over Malzahn any day of the week. We know our identity--we are a downhill power run offense and that is hard to stop, regardless of one single player. We can take above average players and scheme to run the ball and win at least 10 games every year and be in national championship contention every year.
He should have gotten out of the SEC when his stock was high last year. SEC defenses eventually figured out Spurrier and Urban Meyer. I don't really think Gus is in the same ballpark as either of those two. I don't think you can out scheme people in this conference long term. You eventually have to out execute and out play them. Gus will be coaching at a FCS school in a few years and will probably do very well there.

It will be interesting to see what happens on the plains if Chiz and Co. turn in another 7-5 season next year and the offense doesn't improve. The "family" could file for divorce.
I agree with the OP but about a month ago a few on here was wanting Gus & thought he was the cats meow. Gimmick offenses never last long & I have not been impressed with anything the the barn offense has done & they are soft as a pillow & soft does not work in the SEC. Gus missed his chance last year to parlay their 1 year into a HC job & now ROLL TIDE.
I also hope they keep him for those AUsome face pics on the sideline. My prediction for next season: he's going to start using Jerry Sandusky to signal "speed sweep."
I still can't believe the gus-bus couldn't manage a single offensive point. Even I could have called the game and scored...nothing hahaha
