it is going to be tough for him to stay on the field with the talent playing behind him if he keeps blowing assignments. Also I am sure they work on TJ holding the ball, his fumbles have really hurt two weeks in a row now. Great run by our team, they all come to an end sometime. I am very proud of our young team and the season is not over. Things could still work out. RTR
Guys behind Vinnie must really struggle with defensive concepts. Vinnie was really good for us until people started exposing him. Now it's sort of tough to watch at times...kind of like Nico in pass coverage. It almost looks like Vinnie wants to make the play instead of play his assignment. Hopefully he will continue to get better for us...we need him.
Experience is clearly playing over talent at the safety position. Our safeties are the weak spot on D and teams are licking their chops to expose them. Lester had just as bad a game if not worse and its hard to comprehend from someone who has been with the program as long as he has..
The competition for Vinnie will be good for him. If someone is better, I guarantee you CNS will put him on the field. TJ will be fine. The fumble tonight was a better play by the defense than it was his handling of the ball, IMHO.
I am with you: I am very proud of what this team has accomplished. And the season is FAR from over.
What did Vinnie blow tonight?
The out and up route?
1960 Les Paul
He's not punishing people anymore. Our tackling as a whole has been bad the last two weeks.

That's been arguably the most surprising/disappointing thing to me honestly.
Vinnie is awesome and I love him as a player and representative of the university. But to he honest I see him as the dime back once other guys develop. Not a four down defender.
Bring on the down votes, but just my opinion
Not to sound harsh, but that was awful. He had the middle of the end zone in zone and inexplicably ran out of the end zone trying to get to the QB.
need Collins and Eddie Williams to get up to speed. Safeties of Collins, Dix, Williams would be great in coverage and run support
