I understand he's come up short on several recruits of late. His team has very little depth and has had some lackluster performances earlier this season, but I believe Anthony Grant is going to build us a high quality basketball team. That's just how I feel about it.
For some reason, I agree with you
What's the real reason?
Agreed, good coach with injuries and a young team. It doesn't happen over night.
Wake me up when he beats Florida. The program sucks right now.
Is five years enough, how bout 7, how bout 9? This isn't his 2nd year. Whose fault is the depth and "youth" that you described? I know of another team that loves to use the "youth" excuse every year.
I'm glad he finally showed a little emotion today. That's the first time I saw him like that since the holiday tournament that we won last season. However, we still stunk up the gym. Just not as much as UT. Today was the disappointment bowl of SEC basketball teams for this season.
Nothing has changed. Like another poster said, as far as the NCAA tourny is concerned this season is over. Recruit some big men that can score or this continues.
What I can't understand is why we haven't tried to do anything different. We are still running an offense that has our big men posting up. Why are our big men posting up if they can't do anything with it when they get it or our guards won't throw it in to them because they know they can't do anything with it. That is no way to run a productive offense.
