Considering that they can't really negotiate until that day (since they don't know what ticket they'll get), I'm not exactly sure if the students really stand to make all that much money even if they do go down and sell them.
OP is mad that his daughter does not have a ticket to scalp
My girlfriend got a ticket. Would I blame her for selling it? Heck no. Then she could pay for some of the finer things we enjoy in life like Chic-fil-A. In case you don't remember college is an absolute dreadful financial time. I had to choose a couple of times if I wanted to eat or put gas in my car. So how could you blame someone for not wanting to have to make a choice between those in the immediate future? It is the American way. Look at like this way would you pay $10 for a $50 bill?
does anyone know if 91 is the current minimum for sure? I have 90 earned hours and will be sick if I knew I came that close to going to the game in person.
Never mind, I GOT ONE!!!!

My point exactly. OP makes it sounds like students are hitting it rich here.. a student MIGHT make $250/300 in profit after taking out all the other expenses, taking the time to drive down there.. there are people on this board who make well over that in a day, and this is something students will only get to do once or twice in their time at UA if they're lucky. Not really a huge deal
So your beef is not the profit made but the amount of the profit. The amount the tickets are sold for is dictated by the market not by the student or the booster or the Tide Pride member. Buy low sell high Economics 101. Makes them smart not evil
My daughter told me it was 96 hrs...
