Than the 2010 MSU team we destroyed in the Outback Bowl? Serious question. They weren't undefeated but I think they had 1 loss, ranked #6 and were Big 10 champs. Had a veteran QB and supposedly a salty defense.
I would say ND is better than that team but not by that much. Supposedly they have elite SEC type team speed but i dont buy it. Not across the board.
Its a great question - I was thinking the same thing. ND looks bigger and faster than that team.. but not by much. The Big 10 always has really slow teams for some reason. ND looked good against OU so I would say they have to have more speed.
But ND looked pretty suspect against a Michigan team that we put away in the 1st quarter.. that cant be good.
interesting question....respectfully I submit that 2010 Bama was better that day than 2012 Bama is now.
They are MUCH better and a hell of a lot more physical than that MSU team. It is going to be a close game.
Not sure what you mean. The team was definitely clicking on all cylinders that day no doubt. Are you saying the 2010 team on a good day is better than the 2012 team on a good day? I would disagree with that.

A healthy Dareus, Hightower, and Upshaw that day. That is the D we saw last year. Best D I have ever seen.
ND is better than 2010 MSU. They are much bigger up front and more athletic across the board. Plus, our 2010 team was much more talented than the one we will be putting on the field against Notre Dame. I know, I know, we lost three games, but once that team got a fire lit under it's butt (after the barn meltdown) and the team finally got healthy, no one was going to stop them. I'm not taking away anything from this Alabama team, but the 2010 was LOADED. The one thing this team has been able to do that the 2010 couldn't is staying focused. This is one focused, committed, hard working group of guys and I couldn't be more proud of what they've accomplished.

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 2 Cor 10:4
IMO, everyone here is underestimating ND defense. I put them on the level with LSU. I don't know if they have the same speed but they have at least as good a front 7. The big question will be, can they shut us down? I don't believe they can.
Their offense though is somewhat suspect, which is why they've had some really close games. But we all know a great defense can keep you in the game when you're offense is having a bad day. I think we can shut them down completely even with our young defense.
I put the game at 24-7. And 7 is being generous. We should get loose for a TD 3-4 times if not because of our offense, then our defense will put us in good field position a few times.

Fair enough, that makes sense. Honestly I haven't seen that much of ND. The 2010 D was more talented than now, I agree. I would take this year's offense and kicking game though.
If I could get one guy back from that 2010 team it would be Barron.
