How is it they are getting 5 stars from Indiana and Illinois ? There is nothing to
draw them to Ole Miss . I wonder if Hugh Freeze is the next Rick Stansbury ?
Compared to Indiana and Illinois they have a lot to offer. Not saying they are legit but there is really no reason they shouldn't be able to get some good kids from those areas.
I agree, makes no sense.
Follow me on twitter, @BSCTIDE. Let's tweet.
OP stated five stars from these areas not just some good kids. CHF is certainly recruiting well above what I would expect for the Black Bears.
I think the women there help their cause!

I have heard of nothing so I am not going to jump to conclusions. Let it play out this year and see how he does next. He could have just hit the lottery this year but time will tell.
There's a lot of blood, sweat, and guts between dreams and success.
I would think kids from that area of the country would be more interested in schools like Michigan, Ohio State and Notre Dame over a perennial SEC bottom dweller like Ole Miss. Alabama and LSU plucking kids from that area of the country seems more logical to me but Ole Miss ? Not sure I buy that. I get that the women in Oxford are gorgeous but it would take a lot more for me to spend 4 years of my life in that little Mississippi town out in the middle of nowhere.
Yeah, but playing for ANY team in the SEC , even the Auburns and Ole Misses, carries a great deal of clout nowadays with the whole "7 Championships in a row" sort of deal and the NFL...

There are 5*s in Indiana and Illinois? In football?
If you believe in yourself & have dedication & pride & never quit you'll be a winner. The price of victory is high but so are the rewards.
I can understand that argument if those guys weren't 5-stars. They could contact schools like UA, LSU, Florida, and Georgia, and have a spot in the class.
I believe the phrase you were looking for is mind bottling (g)
BOLism at its finest.
Freeze has them going in the right direction.
maybe some want to play against the big boys and make history
maybe their moms/dads felt better with freeze that other coaches
maybe he's just a great recruiter...and selling the SEC and playing time against Bama/LSU/ATM
or maybe they have a big bank account. :)
i'm not going to accuse - I'm over all that.
So now we're taking the Barnesque approach of assuming we get all of our stars legitimately (Recall Saban's 08 class came after a worse year than Ole Sis just had), but also suggesting others are probably cheating if they do a good job???
Somethng I would have to consider if I were on of these 5*'s, or any recruit for that matter, is this: If CHF has another year of improvement, how long will he be at Ole Miss. I doubt that OM is a destination job for anyone...
I was thinking the same thing. Everyone dogs the barners (deservedly so) for doing this. Pot meet kettle. It's not insane to think Freeze could recruit good players. [black helicopter]
