Don't know about keeping one on campus, but they should bring one in town for gamedays and set-up an area where kids and families can have their picture taken with it. I would think the Montgomery or Birmingham Zoo would jump at the chance to home the "official" mascot of the University of Alabama.

We could construct a home for it like LSU did with Mike the tiger on campus. Bad idea to bring it on the field though. I think the fear of getting trampled would deter recruits.
I had forgotten about this. I would like to see an elephant sit on Aubie's head.
Edit: This was a quote for foteen's video.

You need two elephants and a huge habitat.
I do not see Montgomery or Birmingham letting their precious elephants out. So, Bama needs to buy two.
I found some two babies: "One of our friends is willing to sell two baby elephants for KD 10,000 they are available in Kuwait right now and those who are interested leave a comment and he will contact you by email."
Start sending me dollars. We can keep them at my house, until we set them free in Tuscaloosa.
1 USD = 0.28170 KWD
10,000.00 KWD = 35,498.76 USD
That is a great deal for two, lightly used, elephants. We need to get on this. Start paypal-ing me money.
So, for $35,000 I can be the proud owner of two elephants? Time to talk to my wife and fortify my back yard. Greatest crime deterrent of all time. How much would a moat full of Nile crocodiles cost?
