Yeah, well, you know, that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.
Pushing a citizen is a whole lot different than pushing a cop, especially while they are making an arrest on a warrant. It's not like the cops just showed up and decided to arrest her, there was a warrant and they were just doing their job. So I have no problem in charging battery when anybody pushes or shoves a cop. That being said, I seriously doubt he'll be prosecuted w/ a felony if his record is clean.
LOL, really...you get all of that from an article? You weren't there...a very large man wasn't pushing you and threatening you was he? A cop has to treat any situation like it could turn violent/life threatening.
Once someone puts hands on a cop its over for them. If this is what happened the kid deserved to be arrested.
What? You mean you would take a 6'3" 230lb beast of a man pushing you when you were armed as a threat? I'm not sure why? lol
No doubt in my mind that " oh sh*t " went through that officers mind. Time to level the playing field and let him ride the lightning lol.
elder keep back peddling. We officers don't write the laws we enforce them and we sure as hell don't deserve to be struck in any way. That officer, who has to consider officer safety every second of the day he is on the job because we are being killed by the people we try to protect everyday in this country. You are wrong sir, your blaming the officer for doing his freaking job and Wilder is lucky that he didn't get his ass beat. One second your getting pushed, screamed at and cussed and the next there are ten more people coming out from all directions attacking you so pulling his taser and arresting his ass in a proffessional manner is exactly what that officer did. He did nothing wrong. He was pushed that is battery or assault end of freaking story!
I understand ya'll are late to the party and all, but elder did kind of recant the way he views it now. He wasn't taking all things into consideration and admitted it. We can get off his back now....
Obviously you have never been to Tallahassee. It's more "Alabama" than "Florida." Not defending anything..... just pointing out, I live in Tallahassee and went to school at Alabama, and I have seen plenty of shenanigans in both places.
Exactly.......Ride the lightning lil man haha. Exactly what I'd do. you hesitate trying to give someone that size the benefit of the doubt then you end up dead or severaly injured if it isn't a college kid losing temporary control of his emotions.
meh...that's up to prosecutors and perhaps a jury to determine now isnt it. I don't know the definition of "battery" in florida so I can't speculate but I'm going to assume the officer knows it better than I do.
