Wow didn't see that coming for a pass rusher!
@SethEmerson Jarvis Jones' official 40-yard dash time today was 4.92, per UGA
That can't be right....
Surely that's a typo.
Wouldn't have run if he was anywhere near that IMO
He must have got hurt.
"We have an opponent in this state that we work every day, 365 days a year, to dominate."
Saw multiple posts on Twitter that Jarvis aggrivated his hammy on the first 40 & then ran a 2nd gimpy. Weather conditions weren't too great either, which didnt help his time or the injury.
Read all about it....
Wow. Most definitely surprising. I will say though that the last time an edge rusher projected to be top 3-4 pick ran a slow 40..... He fell to the #10 overall selection and he won the NFL Defensive Player of The Year in 2011. Mr. Terrell Suggs.
How much did Jarvis weigh?
Was his vertical or broad jump impressive?
Also, the times that others ran would put this in perspective based on the conditions.
Suggs and Jones might not run fast 40s but they have elite "get-off" as they both make plays.
You get out of it what you put into it!
Thanks. Based on his broad jump and vertical.....I'd say his 40 time is about right. These results say he's not a quick, fast twitch guy. But again his film is impressive.
Jarvis is to defensive players what Chance Warmack is to offensive players. Neither test well in combine measures but both are elite between the lines.
