that Joe Flacco should be the highest paid QB in the NFL. I nearly fell off the couch!
Joe Flacco's clearly the best QB in the league now.
That's what agents are supposed too do.
A career 60% percent completion percentage with 74 TDs and 56 INTs and he should be the highest paid QB in the league?
He's Elite, just ask him
Is it just me or is he the Phill Simms of this QB generation? A winner and good, but not anywhere close to the top 7 guys around the league in reality.
They should get themselves a creed IYAM.
Phil Simms wishes he had an arm like that.
But yeah I'm sure that's a little annoying for the GM to have the agent publicly state things like that. I'd guess they'll meet somewhere in the middle. He is getting better, coming into the prime of his career and has a special arm and is intelligent. i'd imagine a deal with top 10ish numbers would be what Ozzie would hope for.
His agent also claims Joe is the most heterosexual QB in the NFL.
Hasn't Flacco won a playoff game every season in the league? He gives them a dimension they didn't have for a long time. He may not be top 3 bit I give him top 6 cuz dude just wins
It matters not what you, me, Manning, Brady, Rodgers etc think of his $$$ worth as a QB. It only matters what the Ravens think his worth is. For the record, he far exceeded his contract worth in this years playoff run. I think hes only making $6.5 Mill/year. Here is whats wrong with NFL QB money...There are 9 QBs getting paid more money than Tom Brady. NINE! Its probably the only way he can stay in NE so that tells you all you need to know as to why he's #10 on the QB salary list. He loves his owner, coach, city, team, structure!
But Flacco as the highest paid? Well, his agent is doing his job. Goes with that business, and yea I might've fell off my couch too lol (G)
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”
He's a winner...he deserves his payday, but he's not the best QB in the NFL, not even close...ballsy saying what he did in the pre-season but he backed it up with play when it counted and now he has a winning lotto ticket.

He played fantastic down the stretch, but everyone, including the people who live here knows he isnt top 5 in the league. He is top ten and worth probably 16-17 million a year. They will pay him, but not the kind of money his agent is talking.
16-17 Million? Well, that would put him only behind Peyton Manning man as the highest paid QB. Thats close enough to what his agent is saying.

Im only saying that because thats the "realistic" figure im hearing people throwing around up here. If he continues to play how he did down the stretch this season he'd be worth it.
Flacco had a good run at the end of the season, but that snap shot is not indicative of his career so far. Hopefully the light went on, but you shouldn't be the highest paid QB and you've never made a pro bowl.
Like I said earlier above, it dont matter what we think or even what Brady, Rodgers, Manning, or any other organization thinks. The only people it concerns is what do the Ravens feel he's worth to them. Then you have to battle the agent/player maybe for a little while as we all know lol. He belongs to them (Ravens) and if they feel his worth to them is that high, then by all means, pay that man. But mine and your opinions are the same in regards to his play. He is in a great organization too which helps lol.
-One thing to remember about contract amounts. It's not what you are worth it's what you can negotiate. Flacco has peaked at the right time with this being his free agency year. He will get paid and it will be near the top for QBs.
-Brady took a lesser amount than his true worth last time he renogotiated with the Patriots. He did this so he personally wouldn't put the Pats in a financial bind and they could have the resources to sign other good players. This makes the Pats better which makes Brady better. Smart long term thinking if you ask me. Flacco should think this way as the Ravens have a bunch of good players that have expiring contracts.
