I remember back before all the recruiting sites that the way I would find out about recruiting was to get a copy of BamaMag or something like that. It would have all the recruits that we signed, about a one paragraph summary of all their accomplishments and stats. And that was it. That is how I found out about recruits.
Then TiderInsider was my next way of getting recruiting info... And you know how bad that site sucks.. LOL..
It is CRAZY where things have gone now. I love BOL and I am glad I have this place to take up about 60% of everyday of my life haha. I don't know how I ever made it without BOL. And staying with that topic. I have a question for the staff. Do yall have some sort of insurance that covers the replacement of F5 buttons for members?

Been addicted since 07'
I would read it in the newspaper before I went to school. Tim Tebow spiked my interest in recruiting since we had a mutual friend, we're the same age, and we're both south paws.
I remember the first five-star I believe I was really excited about was Derrick Pope (whatever year that was) lol.
Well.. I was at Bama when Travis Carroll showed up too. Remember reading about him and was excited. But What a douche he was haha. Always wore leather jackets. I worked the door at Venue 1215. He was a ass that thought he deserved special treatment.
As a matter of fact, working the door at a bar in T-town made me really dislike some Bama football players from 1998-2001
When i first started i thought bamamag.com (scout) was the best thing ever.
Yeah, traveled the same path, starting with the Forrest Davis Mag, dropped espn insider to start BOL best move ever.... RTR
I first started following it in the daily recaps of the Huntsville Times during the late 70's.
Was just remembering last night during that hour of torture how 15 years ago at this time I was relying on Jamie Newberg for recruiting coverage
