Which tells me 2 things:
1 - no way they're picking Dee @#1
2- Wondering what javy's future is
is menzie still on the team?
Last I checked he was still on their roster. I still see them going OL with their first pick. I know they signed Albert, but in terms of value it is probably their best option.

I cannot see them using the pick. Trade IMO

It's a tough year to get value for trading the top pick. With no clear cut top pick, teams are not as willing to trade up.
Nobody in this draft worth trading up for. Poor KC, this is such a terrible year to be picking high.

I'm a Raiders fan, and you are giving us too much credit.

as a raiders fan, im so happy we dont have the top pick....third is just fine
100% agree. Everytime we make a selection I clinch my teeth together because I can almost guarantee the pick is going to be a failure.
As a Chiefs fan, I'm happy with the offseason. I will be irate if they don't take Luke Joeckel or Chance Warmack with the first pick. Those guys will be anchors for the next decade.
Good chance they'll get another shot at it next year.
Al probably would have taken him, but Reggie is no Al. I love the current Raiders offseason move of letting 100% of free agents walk, cutting guys who were overpaid even if productive like DHB and Huff, and only signing non-flashy free agents to fill holes until they can fill those postions through the draft. I think this is exactly how you rebuild a team that was not only lacking in talent but had terrible cap problems.
I think the Raiders draft a D-lineman too, not a QB. They'd have already cut Palmer if that was in the cards IMO. They might even be planning on keeping Rolando unless they're still shopping him for a 7th rounder or something.
1) their number 1 pick will go to an OL ... and No, they will not be trading down becuz of the reasons already listed on this thread
2) Javy will most likely be Nickel & Dime
I really don't understand how some of the talking heads keep saying Geno Smith is the #1 pick.
Also a chiefs fan....and i think its jockel but i wouldn't be surprised if they did trade it
I think KC is stuck with the 1st pick. Everything I read suggests that scouts think the top of this draft stinks. Detroit would be the most likely trading partner with KC because they have need a good tackle (or two) and it doesn't look like one of the top 2 will reach them with KC and PHI in front of them in the draft. Still think it's a long shot but Detroit has been doing some "interesting" things in free agency.
KC has cut Winston Justice. It also doesn't look like Branden Albert will be getting a long term deal. This points to KC taking a tackle at #1 right now.
I think Milliner will go either to the Eagles (#4), the Lions (#5) or the Browns (#6). The Eagles and Lions both want offensive line help - specifically tackles. However, both also need a good CB. The Browns really need some pass rush but would be a stout pass defense with Milliner and Haden at the corners. I think the lowest we would see Milliner drafted is #10 to the Titans.
One of the best fantasy football sites...
I am going to have to see the Raiders draft well before I go believing in the Raiders as an organization. I have high hopes, but if we come out and draft like the ghost of Al Davis is still sitting in the war room I may not be able to take it.
well with the Chiefs now signing two CB's in free agency, Javy might be trade bait. The other CB on the roster that played some late last year should be looking to sell his house if he owned one.
Next step is to figure out a solid backup for Jamaal Charles. Peyton Hillis sucks and Shawn Draughn can't seriously be the guy.
any 3-6th rounder would be be better than what they currently have.
No chance at that IMO. Reid is too good a coach to not get wins in a pretty weak division. Plus they had 6 pro bowlers this year. Romeo was terrible and Cassel was worse than anything I'd ever seen. He couldn't pass gas!
As good as they were running the football last year you would think that the passing game would find some opportunities somewhere but if you watched every Chiefs game last year like I did you would see and know why they could not pass the ball. QB play, period. Cassel Was extremely inaccurate for an entire season and had more turnovers than any Chiefs quarterback in history.
