How do you know what these girls want to do? My daughter won a lot of pageants. After graduating from college she went on the mission field and became a missionary in Brazll for several years with Campus Outreach...she taught young children and worked on the Campus Outreach staff. When she came back to America, she started going to the Ukraine to work with the orphanages and worked with abused kids. She then went on staff full time with King's Ranch in B'ham, AL teaching life skills to abused teenagers, She's tall, intelligent and very beautiful; but, she's more beautiful on the inside. There may be some girls that just want to be famous, but, not are all like that just because they win a beauty pageant...there's a lot going on behind the scenes and weeks leading up to the actual pageant...interviews mean more than anything...they have to win on the local level, then the State level before they can go to the Miss USA pageant. I was a pageant judge for the Miss USA organization so I know what I'm talking about. Also, Katherine was selected for the Top Ten in the Miss USA pageant, she did well. She does well in interviews.
