I remember they used to wear white a lot at home. This would directly affect what I wear during the game, which would of course have a direct effect on how our team performs...(g... But still serious question)
Thanks for the help
I think they are wearing white. they wear the purple unis for home out of conference games only.
Cool thanks for the response, I'll just have to be prepared for both...
They still wear white for most conference home games.
I like that they're wearing white...really makes the grass stains pop!
Yeah I didn't think about it until this morning and was pretty surprised I didn't know the answer to my question... But I should have since I never see them wearing purple
LSU will be wearing white. The way that it works is that the visiting team has to agree to allow the home team to wear their visiting(white) uniforms and, thus the visiting team agrees to wear their home (dark) uniforms. Alabama always agrees to let LSU wear white.
LSU ALWAYS wears white at home for SEC games. The visiting team doesn't get a choice. The home team decides what uniforms to wear and the visiting team has to wear a contrasting color. This is why Florida was able to force them to wear purple on a particularly hot day in Gainesville. They wear white almost exclusively, only breaking the purple out for one or two games a year, always OOC.
I know it's a tradition but if I was LSU I would wear purple because those uni's are bad azz.
When did Florida force LSU to wear purple? It hasn't happened in recent history.
I considered worrying about this... but didn't.
I use to wear the same color as the coaches on Saturdays, and wore the opposite on Fridays. A game like this could mess with your head... what if LSU comes out in purple and we are in white and our coaches are in crimson... oh no!!!
So now... I just wear my colors based on home/away.
Just know if Bama is the home team or away team
read the rules, visitor weras white, unless they agree otherwise!
I think this has changed. Both teams can wear their home uniforms if agreed upon. You saw this alot in the early season matchups. Michigan wore yellow and Bama wore red. NC State and Tennessee. I can't think of an instance though that this has happened on a non-neutral field though, so maybe its only for neutral games.
98 and 00.
A few years back, USC wore their home colors against UCLA at UCLA.
The home team has to agree to this, I believe. I also believe, as a penalty, the away team must give up a timeout each half if they do this.
EDIT: To note that UCLA also wore their home colors.

Michigan wore white against us. The jerseys had yellow accents but it was a white jersey.
Awesomeness! I do this mostly
I heard Les is dressing them, and all the fans, in purple. They're calling it the Pimp Out.
Bama never wears red!
^^^^^This good grief.
Honestly I prefer our crimson uni's and studies have shown teams that wear a red variant tend to perform better and benefit from ref's giving them more favorable calls!
I'm just a font of useless knowledge.
I do the exact same thing, except I chose to go with our jersey color.
im pretty sure they wear white whenever possible
all their unis are god awful if you ask me
I think the NCAA rule is that a visiting team must agree to wear dark jerseys. LSU makes a request before the season begins. Florida can't " make " them where purple to its home game.
