Like you have any idea what it takes to play under Saban.
With responses that you liked it, you have identified yourself as a thug on this board. Or an Internet badass. The question is was it necessary. Answer: no. The next question is could it injure someone: yes.
Kid was probably just amped up and did something stupid. Doesn't mean he is a thug, but also doesn't mean there should not be appropriate consequences. We will see what those are. I am sure that wont be tolerated by CNS.
Actually, I'm 6-4 220.
And I know one measure of a man is judging with objectivity.
If Nick Fairley pulled that crap against Dee Hart (size comparison), you guys would be calling Mike Slive's office before he hit the ground.
YOu really need to ditch football and go tend to your garden you foppish plebe.
Classic clip Bama2212!
the sec should definitely suspend him, i mean the guy came in wrapped up and made a tackle before the whistle was blown, BLASPHEMY!!!!! never have i seen such an obvious example of where the commissioner needs to stick his nose in the game's business and make an after the fact judgment call to correct what the referees saw on the field
Thats why you wear pads. Seriously, go watch soccer or something.
Badass comment right there!!! You tell em!!
Yeah because shoulder pads can prevent you from breaking your neck when you get suplexed on your head.
What are some of you complaining about? Players get hurt all the time when their heads are not on a swivel and everyone says "WOW! what a hit!" Sure picking him up is unnecessary but some of those blocks players throw are as well, and no one gets suspended or a flag thrown. Those that throw the hit are attempting to take the guy out, not necessarily to hurt them but to take them out of the play. He should not have picked him up but in the heat of the moment he might not have thought about it and he will learn not to do that again, if he is indeed suspended. Hard hit and unnecessary hits happened every game and that is just the way it goes.

No need for that
I don't think you see things objectively one bit bro. If u think CNS won't dig into him for that play you don't know CNS.
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”
He wasn't trying to hurt anyone but it was excessive, and would draw a flag every single time. Yeah it's a rough game but you can't be picking people up and slamming them on their heads.
Again I don't think he's a thug he just got carried away, but people saying it was just a good hard football play either are completely blinded by crimson glasses or just not very bright.
I also agree Verne and Gary went way over the top about it.
I know enough to know that players that are trying to earn playing time and do stupid crap like that have to work even harder to earn another chance at PT. Get out of here with that bs
I don't know CNS.. but I don't think he'll be losing any sleep over that play. You know he loves the passion and fierocity that his 2nd and 3rd teamers are playing with. My personal opinion, but I doubt he makes THAT big a deal of it.
I didn't say he would lose any sleep but in my opinion I don't think there's anyway he doesn't get on him about it is all I said. I agree it won't be terribly bad for LF but I'm sure he will be talked to and coached on behalf of it.
Not sure if any of you watched the Carver / auburn high game last week but Reuben did the same thing near the end of the game. Dink and Reuben know each other so i kind of looked at it like a one up. JMO
I think the fact he continued to stay in the game and play says a lot about the coaches assessment of what he did.
The play resulted in a major penalty; if was not an incidental foul. I firmly believe CNS will use this as a "teachable event" and that the offender will find practice this week to be especially trying.
That was not a dirty play by LaMicheal Fanning, go back and look at the replay. Watch Tyler Hayes #36 real close, it looks like LaMicheal suplex him because Hayes came in and finished of the tackle hard, causing the runner to flip over the way he did. No penalty, the runner landed the way he did because of the angle he was tackled by the two defenders. RTR
