Yes, Lacey is better than Knox, but this post makes no sense.
UNC took Knox because it unexpectedly lost three post players in the offseason. They only had two posts left and desperately needed Knox for depth. Ed Davis going pro was a blow, but then the Wear twins transferred to UCLA in the summer without even letting Roy Williams know. They had their dad call him, and Roy had to figure something out with very little time before the fall semester started. Knox was the best they could find on such short notice. To his credit, Knox did admirably as the backup at PF and C on a top-10 team.
He did get a scholly - they had three available. He played ~15 minutes a game and averaged 6 and 3.
Ok, I stand corrected...I don't remember him playing when it mattered, but that's irrelevant to the data.

They had John Henson and Tyler Zeller starting and playing the key minutes. But they couldn't play all 40. The next tallest guy on the team was Harrison Barnes until they landed Knox.
Wish him the best

This is not sour grapes and I did not say this during the season because of all the BOL homers but Lacey is just not very good.
He's too slow to penetrate off the dribble, he can't hit a decent percentage from outside or 3 pt range. He's not a great defender.
See I thught he was a 5 star that the UK's of the world wanted but when I watch him, i scratch my head and wonder what exactly he's good at.
NCSU would be a good fit.
Knox played in every single game and averaged 14.4 minutes per game at UNC. If you're going to use an argument, at least bring facts to the table.
Lacey was a 4/5 star ... he'll end up somewhere decent
