Les not wanting to play Florida "because of tradition". Be honest Les, it's due to you being worried Florida will become Florida again and be a top 15 team annually.
Spurrier wanting non-divisional games to not count right? Is that correct? Likely due to Spurrier not wanting that annual West division loss not to keep him at home instead of being in Atlanta.
Props to Saban, Dooley, Chizik, and Richt for not bitching about it. Dooley has to play Saban every season, do you see him saying what Spurrier is? What about Chizik? Has to go against Bama and UGA annually plus LSU. Don't see him whining.
Lost a lot of respect for Miles and Spurrier over this. Hell, I've lost some respect from the SEC superiors for playing 8 conference games instead of 9. God forbid we don't get to play our 3 cupcakes annually. Man up Slive, Spurrier, and Miles.
I wonder why they won't go to 9 conference games either. It would solve the entire rotating schedule issue.
Saban is against a 9 game SEC schedule.

I would be totally against a 9 sec game schedule but it would all but kill ooc games
Because it would be unbalanced in terms of home and away games...half the teams would have 5 home and 4 away, the other half 4 home and 5 away.
So be it. 9 is better.

Play at a neutral site and split the revenue so Alabama v rotating east team in Georgia dome. And have every team do that so you have 12 weeks to play those 7 games.
don't want to compete

I like the idea of a neutral site game (for #9) like bamaFB mentioned. Seems like a cool concept.
Guys, Saban knows best. Let's not go against what he wants. On a side note, all the teams in the same division in the NFL plays the same schedule. UGA was awarded the SEC East but was not the best team in the east. Spurrier has a valid point. If UGA would have played Ark, like USCe then they would have lost. Another thing is that as long as Tenn is down, we have an advantage over LSU. Why? Florida is better than Tenn. I will take that advantage all day long. Miles has a valid point. But Muschamp has the more valid point. I know for a fact that Florida does not want to play LSU every year. Maybe it's just me, but UGA is the lucky team in all of this and it is not right. All UGA has to do is split with UF and UGA and they are in the SECCG. LSU is there best friend. Beat UF and USCe for them. Wow! Give me a break.
