Jox should replace him with dude from the airport.
How about a summary for those of us who can't listen. Thanks.
You can't assume we're all listening to it. If you post something like this, you have to explain the details.
Lmao. That guy's got to come forward soon. He'd be on ESPN and would likely get another 15 minutes of fame for sure. He's probably afraid of barner-backlash though. I'm sure Dye has had him tracked down and sufficiently silenced.
I'm not listening either.... Haven't turned on that show in two years and I don't miss it a bit.
Sorry. He was squirming like crazy. You could tell that he really didn't want to be on the radio today. Every time they would ask him a scenario type question about Jim's future, he would get real defensive and say " I don't know we'll have to wait to the end of the season. Why do y'all keep ask me these questions?" Jay then said "You're the Auburn guy." He said "Thanks for informing me Jay!" It was hilarious!
Lol. He should have just pulled a Jim and gave a standing response that he'll have to look at the film.
Jay was trying to explain to him that people are going to keep asking questions and he was going to have to talk about it because he's the Auburn guy and they have a talk show to do. Del Taco got more and more defense saying the same thing over and over.
Jay finally had to go to break because Al was getting so frustrated. Jay's point was that it's not going to end and he shouldn't get frustrated with people wanting to discuss and talk about it because that's the nature of the situation. You could tell Al wanted to just go into hibernation until after the season.
I bet he didn't mind talking 2 years ago.
Cue the carpenters song or whoever sings it's only just begun.
"You don't always get what you want, but you always get what you deserve"
Jay is the worst radio host I've ever heard. What kind of radio professional says "umm" after every other word? Plus, he has no room to call out Al for being the "au guy" when he doesn't know the names of Alabama's players. The guy is completely unprepared every day and does absolutely NO show prep. Like I was saying, completely unprofessional.

The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 2 Cor 10:4
That's spot on
You're right, but Del Greco nauseates me. He isn't objective at all and he is the biggest homer alive.
What's the deal with bashing Jay? They aren't asking him to be a recruiting analyst or an ESPN sports anchor....he's a moderator for a caller and guest driven show. Some people expect him to know everything about every topic, but that's just not what he's being asked to do. I follow 247sports and TOS pretty much every time I get bored, and there are still times when I can't think of a recruits name or might not be familiar with a recruit or player when someone brings up a topic out of nowhere. He has several kids and is married to a country music star, so he has a ton of family obligations that take time away from his show prep.
family obligations? are you serious?.........Jay Barker has no business in radio. He's horrible along with everybody else on JOX except Paul Finebaum.
I have a wife and a kid and if I were as bad at my job as Jay, I'd be fired. He is an absolute joke on the air.
He has one son involved in youth football, which he coaches himself, another son in middle school football, and a daughter involved in softball.....and that's not including whatever Sara's kids are involved in. So yeah, having to handle all of that along with being on the road several days a month with appearances and shows with his wife takes a lot of time. He doesn't have to be doing the show, but he enjoys it. I'm not saying its a great show. It's obviously not well put together, but that's not Jay's fault. Guess we all have our opinions about it.

If he doesnt have time to do the show then quit and let someone who is qualifed do it. He doesnt have anymore family obligations than anyone else here. "Oh, sorry boss, sorry I havent been to work much lately and when I do by chance make it into the office I do a terrible job, I'm unprepared, and have no clue what I'm doing. The reason is my son plays youth football and I'm the coach, I have other kids that are involved in softball, and I travel with my wife on the road". Let me know what your boss would say. Here's a hint...you're fired!
Exactly. No one is forcing Barker to do the radio show, but as long as he's getting paid for it, he should go ahead and bother to do a little research and preparation to have enough sports knowledge to be on a sports talk radio show in the first place. It's not rocket science.
