The price of victory is high, but so are the rewards.
I think we needed a game like this. We've yet to be tested this season, our starters have yet to finish a game, and there's been little to no adversity to overcome. This game is giving us opportunities for all three. Coach Saban was worried about this game from a motivational viewpoint for a reason. Ole Miss is vastly improved from last year and will probably get better each week, especially if they get some decent qb play. Sure, I'm disappointed with some of the offensive play calls and missed tackles on defense, as well as with the injuries, but I still don't see a team out there better than ours right now. LSU gave up 20+ points to Towson, who I've never heard of. Oregon is struggling through the first half with a horrible Wash St team. UGA's defense looked like they were playing flag football today and FSU struggled early with a South Florida team that lost to Ball State last week. South Carolina didn't put away Kentucky until late, and Kentucky just lost to Western Kentucky a couple weeks ago. The sky is not falling. This game has given us a wake up call and plenty of opportunities for improvement, which we all know Coach Saban and staff will jump all over. We're not going to beat every team by 20 and 30 points. Some of you need to chill...
Come on Bama.
Let's don't rest on our morals.
