I think this is the first peg to fall . A lot of people like Stanford to upset Oregon , but that
game is at Oregon . Look for help from Baylor at home this weekend . Fwiw . I STILL say
we jump KSU or ND if we beat Georgia in the title game . We will have played an extra game
and beaten a top five team . I still think we can jump any undefeated but Oregon. Oregon will
have a much tougher time at Oregon State than Stanford . This is a long way from over .
Admire your optimism but I disagree.
We just need to take care of business vs Georgia . Georgia would beat ND or KSU and
would be capable of beating Oregon . The thing about Georgia is you never know which
team will show up .
They would join the impressive company of SMU, Sam Houston State, ULM and 1-9 Kansas as teams Baylor has beaten this year. I think longshot is an understatement. KState has easiest route to championship game - would almost be a shame to see them stumble over a team in Waco, TX.
If teams only lost to teams that are better than them college football would be very boring.
K st isn't losing IMO. We gotta ride USC to the promised land
K State depends on QB.. Texas is playing better..Texas has more talent overall ..Texas at K State has a chance.. Baylor just needs to punish KSt QB to help set table.
The betting line is ksu - 12 so there is a chance . A@M was +14 against us
True. We should take a collection to fund Klein bounty
I think the Stanford upset is more likely this weekend. Oregon DL is badly beaten up and Stanford can run the ball with more physicality than any team Oregon has faced so far. Even Cal had a good deal of success running right at Oregon last week. The question is, can Stanford slow Oregon down enough on offense to give themselves a chance? They held USC to 14 points so anything is possible, I suppose.
KState at Baylor is interesting, but unless Klein is really hurt and limited, I think they'll put up more than enough points to win the game. KState D is pretty solid; I think they'll hold Baylor to around 24-28 points, and I doubt Baylor can keep KState below that.
If there's one thing that our loss did, it made the rest of the games way more interesting for Bama fans. The ISU win over Okie State might have been the most exciting moment of the season last year for me after the blanking of LSU in the dome. Hope we have a similar experience starting this weekend!

Oregon is going to mudhole Stanford. Baylor couldnt stop 11 of any random people on this board, much less K State. We are dependent on USC & maybe Texas. But USC plays ND & Oregon (if they beat UCLA) and they have the talent to beat both.
I do hope your right but just don't see it happening.
None of the 3 remaining unbeaten teams are spectacular by any means. It's difficult to go undefeated in a season. I would not be surprised if all 3 lost by season's end. Everyone thought West Virginia and Missouri would play for the national championship in 2007, but neither of those teams were really that good, and they both found a way to lose. The same will happen this season. It's just a matter of a few weeks.
Some people bring a knife to a gun fight. Mark Richt brings a Super Soaker 2000.
K-State sucks. I think there's a decent chance, just need some turnovers.
Wishful thinking imo.

Hopefully Texas doesn't just lay down for them ala Oklahoma vs Oklahama St last year in their pseudo-conference championship.
Most likely scenario for us to get to the BCSNG is that:
K-state losses to Texas
Notre Dame losses to USC
I doubt Baylor wins and I don't think Stanford has enough firepower to beat Oregon regardless of how good their defense is. The magic number to beat Oregon is 30 as in you gotta hold them under that and you gotta get over that number. Anything more is just being greedy or risky.
