Wanted to get your thoughts / what you're hearing on Saban. I think it's obvious I've never bought into conspiracy theories and I'm not buying into what espn is saying on Saban, however, there has been one thing about Saban to the nfl talk that made me raise my eyebrow and that was your comments last week. Look, I realize I could be looking into your comments way too much but from what I gathered from them is it is a real possibility that Saban looks to get back into the NFL...not a yeah it could always be a "possibility" but more of a there's a realistic shot he looks to try it again.
Again, if I'm mixing your words or putting words in your mouth, I apologize. I would like to get your honest opinion on what you're hearing. Thanks for all you do!
These threads kind of remind me of when I was around 4 and every time my mother went somewhere I started crying, afraid that she wasn't coming back. There was nothing that she did that would make me have that worry, it was just the fear of being separated from someone who meant a lot to me. We should all just enjoy what we have NOW and what is coming in January and let the future take care of itself.
I can certainly see why UA fans would dread the thought of CNS leaving for another opportunity, but eventually he will leave. Think of what a grinding job it has to be to compete at the highest level in a major sport and also be responsible for 18-22 year olds. Then to also have to deal with the expectations of thousands of people who probably dont know enough about the job that you do to deserve an opinion about your perceived successes or failures. CNS has given UA AND its fanbase six unforgettable years already...if you ask this fan i say we are already playing with house money...why dont we all try to enjoy it!
I don't get the NFL talk. When he came here one of the big reasons was because he wanted to be in the college game.... To be able to grow young men into high character guys... And to be able to outwork the opponent. What could have changed to where he would have forgotten what makes the college game better? Nothing.... That's what. I don't know coach Saban.... But what I know of him makes me believe he wouldn't go to the NFL or anywhere else for that matter. Granted.... If he did leave for the NFL.. At least we wouldn't have to ever see him on the opposing side line at an Alabama game.
