Speak out or make a move. Calls out Gouge.
It is time for Auburn president Jay Gogue to make a move, one way or the other, for the good of Auburns football program.
"let it be known and get on with the big and important task of returning Auburn's football program to its rightful place."
I hate to break it to him, but they are currently in their rightful place.
I find the 4th to last paragraph most telling and humorous. They absolutely can't handle what's going on up in T-town. I take great joy in that...
Love AU being IN their 'rightful place'!
this is their WHOLE problem. They ARE NOT an elite team. They are NOT entitled to "succeed". They need to lower their expectations quite a bit. The Championship they bought in 2010 was the worst thing that ever happened to them, as it gave them a false sense of accomplishment and made them think they were on par with the Alabamas, Oklahomas, the Michigans, the USCs of the world.
In their heart of hearts, they know this to be true. Why else are they so defensive all the time?
Get over yourselves, PM and the rest of the Auburnite cult: you ain't all that.

I remember when Shula lost to MSU that Cecil Hurt wrong one article that, IMO, sent shockwaves through Tuscaloosa. Maybe it was coincidence that Shula was fired shortly after, but I always felt like Hurt's article calling for a change was the catalyst for action.
And now we're on the 3rd or 4th article from Marshall calling for action, yet....no change.
To me, that speaks volumes towards the respect toward each of the writers.

I call for a teeth whitening for Phillip.
The Barners should look on the bright side, who has more experience with long losing streaks than Jim? His second year at Iowa State has prepared him for this moment!
Maybe they can borrow MSU's hash tag; come on Jim, #webelieve!
. . . and Chizik. Uh . . . nevermind.
Karma is a B! It wasn't that long ago ole Tubs was holding up 4 fingers...none of the Barney's were offering up sympathy for BAMA! I laugh every time I hear someone talk about their situation!
Well to be fair, one writer is a highly respected and widely read state-wide (and region-wide) writer, while the other is essentially an internet-blogger for a site with maybe 5-10,000 folks, probably a little more if you count the amount of Bama fans that end up reading his blogs.
Comparing Cecil Hurt to PM, even when just to point out the vast difference between the two, is a bit of stretch.

If I don't stop reading this thread I'll be out of up votes fast.
