Which means they go 5-7 or 6-6
Go look at Kenneth Darby's career stats... Tre Mason plays for a worse passing team with a equally bad line or maybe worse... Darby was all SEC and played in the league and is about the same size. Mason's stats are equal to or better than Darby's...
And screw all of you guys for making me defend a damn BOOGER player!
And last year, when we were down to Lacy (who wasnt 100% early) and Yeldon, he wouldve played. And played a lot, assuming he can block a blitz.

He would still be behind Drake and 4th string after Hart and Fowler went down. Mason carried the ball deep into games against a lot of other team's backups when the game was already over and landed right at 1000 yards by taking the last snap in a 49-0 blowout. He's a solid RB but nothing special.
He averaged 6 yards per carry through an SEC schedule. And his team was typically having to pass to catch up. He didnt even get 200 carries as the main starter.
You kids really have on the crimson glasses. When he scores his first NFL TD I'll repost this thread.
And coming into the season he wouldve been ahead of Drake and Yeldon primarily due to age and experience...
And as the season progressed he would have been behind Drake due to talent. Like I said, he was still in the game taking the last carry in a 49-0 game. He's average.

Mason is a very solid back but I don't he's anywhere close to the caliber of backs they've had in recent years. Carnell Williams, Ronnie Brown, Ben Tate, Kenny Irons, Michael Dyer. All of those guys are a lot better than Mason but Mason did make some plays for them last year. My question with him is, how will he hold up over the course of the season as the main back. Unless the JUCO guy stands out and is able to form a tandem with Mason, Mason will be overworked during the course of the season.
Folston will stay committed to ND. Ford just picked up an offer from UGA where RB depth is thin.

Don't forget. Saban downed the ball to GIVE him that last carry to break 1000. Otherwise he's in the 900s and it doesn't look as good. But, we gave him a last min pity carry instead of kicking a FG or scoring a TD.
I think most believe Ford ends up at Auburn even with the UGA and FSU offers.
I agree with this.. Nobody is leaving Notre Dame or UGA for the Barn. If so... RIP guys. The Gus Bus will eventually tip over.
I can see Ford going to au because of no proven RB except Mason. he could earn a starting spot as soon as he gets on campus.
I agree. why go to the plains when you can play on TV every Saturday or be in Athens.
