"Gus's offense will be like nothing seen before. Like an offense without restrictor plates".
Spoiler Alert: Somewhere, at some time a QB has to emerge from that armpit of a depth chart at QB to stake that claim. Nothing new here I guess, rinse and repeat. We should all be terrified I guess.
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”
Malzahn has no idea how to manage expectations.
Lol... Same ole same ole with the family on the farm...

I hope the TE doesn't go in motion. We'll be screwed.
It's pretty amazing to me that Saban's response to a reporters question has been twisted to the point of him petitioning the NCAA for an injunction against the HUNH, The HUNH is nothing new. It's been around for awhile. It's actual purpose is to level the playing field for less talented teams vs talented teams. Hal Mumme HUNH'd his way out of being a head coach. Tony Franklin has written books on it yet has found very little success. Michigan folks hate Rich Rod. I'm tied with Chip Kelly in National Title rings. Does anyone else remember West Virginia being the "it" team last year then teams started pounding their guts out? Saban's 2nd worse Bama team lost to the greatest team au has ever fielded by 1 point. People remember the aTm game last year like they blew Bama out.The HUNH has already been tried and for the most part, it's been found wanting.
To hear Gus tell it, he will make everybody forget Kliff Kingsbury in a nanosecond, too. Not to mention the Pirate at
Washington State. Wait! Is the Pirate not coming to Jordan-Hare for Gus' first game as AU HC? Yeah, I thought so.
Well, Pilgrims, we shall see who has perfected the "Offense without a restrictor plate", won't we.......LOL
Nope...he doesn't have a humble bone in his body. He's fanning the unrealistic expectation's right now. By shooting his mouth off. When he's yet to really proven anything!
New Member of The 247 Crew!
we hear this stuff every year with some new "fad" like football's been reinvented.
As Bear said, "The same things win that've always won." That is, it's still 11 on 11 (unless they've changed something and Gus has 13 men on the field this year), it's still all about defense, and it's still all about the big uglies in the trenches.
1960 Les Paul
They are the kings of pre-season and 5 stars with no pads on...when hitting time starts, they generally fold.
Already taking off restrictor plates? Just last year they needed training wheels.
Like nothing seen before?? I don't think it is even possible to run a quicker hurry up than what TAMU ran last year at times. TAMU got to the line and ran the next play as quick as humanly possible. Since Auburn doesn't have cyborgs for linemen, I'm guessing we've seen it before.
I know when Auburn won the National Championship, they also had a good line and Cam Newton. Cam Newton made a lot of money for those coaches. My opinion is, if you take the exact team minus Cam and plug in any QB, it wouldnt have equaled a Championship. However, we shall find out soon enough..
You know why they have restrictor plates?
To prevent people from crashing so hard they kill themselves.
Many of us remember AU in 2011. It took lightning in a bottle to beat Utah State and Miss. State that year before Chizik made Gus slow the offense down and run the ball more. And sure, AU scored 42 points against Utah State, but they let State score 38 (the same as Clemson). Arguably the greatest HUNH team ever, 2010 Oregon, gave up 30 pts/game against ranked opponents.
I think WVU may have demonstrated that the HUNH may lead to 1) increased offensive production and 2) a guaranteed decrease in defensive production. It works great if your offense is the one clicking (2010 Oregon) and works horribly if it isn't (2012 WVU).
Bingo - it's amateur hour down there.
15 National Championships, 23 SEC Championships, NCAA Record 60 Postseason Bowl Appearances, NCAA Record 35 Bowl Victories
"Run another trick play, B####!"
Unfortunately for them, they leave the gas pedal(QB) out along with the restrictor plates.
Offenses that can't be stopped shouldn't have an opposing strength coach yell RATPB at the creator of the unstoppable offense.
Alabama Strength Coach Scott Cochran yells across the field to auburn coach Gus Malzahn to, 11 Iron Bowl. auburn ...

Post of the millennium.
This is why luciano is my fav xoxo (no homo).
Someone should tell "Gussie" that his last Offense in Auburn resembled a soapbox derby car more than a racecar!!!
Jim Kelly ran a hunh in the Super Bowl and lost.
guess a person can run faster in panties!
