Alabama now one game behind in the SEC standings. Tide will have a shot at the conference title if it doesn't lose before facing the Gators March 2.

Is it an automatic bid if you win the regular season title? I know if you win the conference tournament you're in, but what about regular season.
no-just tourney winner, but my gosh you'd have to like our chances as an at-large in the event that we were reg season champs. I get that the SEC is somewhat down, but who is "up" outside of the top 6-7 teams? Even those shuffle weekly!
Winning at Florida would provide a quality win on the road against a top ten opponent (even after losing to Missouri) which would most certainly help our resume for the tournament.
There was a big stink a year or two ago about a team winning the regular season title but did not go to the dance. This was in another conference but I remember it happening.
Just keep winning....if we win out, we're in.
It might have been the PAC 10 a couple years ago.
As far as Florida goes I was kind of hoping they would win out until our game so they would be less inspired because of virtually having the SEC wrapped up.

Just a crazy year in college basketball, especially the SEC.
