Do we have to play better? Sure we do. I'm sure Saban didn't sleep in the last two mornings.
But I still can't believe some of you. We're 100% on red zone opportunities. 100 PERCENT. Let's say that slips to ... oh, I don't know ... 85% by the end of the season. Would you take that?
We're making our FGs. But we don't by-god throw the deep ball 18x a game and people go nuts. Guess what? The deep ball with NO ONE PLAYING DEFENSE still isn't a high percentage play.
We've rushed for over 200 yards in 3 of our 5 wins. We're eating all kinds of clock and scoring every time we cross your 20. We have three turnovers in 5 games. We have forced 15. Do you know how good you have to play against us to even have a chance right now? A 2:1 turnover ratio is usually a death sentence. 3:1?
Our QB has 12 TDs or so and no INTs. Not even off a tipped ball at the LOS or in coverage. Since the 6-sack debacle vs WKU, we've given up 3 in 3 games.
Yes, Lacy isn't 3 or 22. Gotcha. Ask Auburn or Florida or any Mississippi school if they'd take him right now.
I mean, I don't get it ... we're using pretty much the same formula that has allowed us to win 55 of our last 61 games and TWO NATIONAL TITLES. We are who we are and we do what WE do. If you don't like the WAY we do things, then go pull for Tennessee. They throw the ball down the field all the time. They also gave up 51 points and a 100-yard rushing game to TWO Georgia backs. What would your reaction be if that happened? I would laugh til I cried at some of you then.
Stop being Billy Bammer Gump and take a deep breath.

AMEN! Im not upset about our teams performance Saturday but our fans performance I wouldnt claim at all. That was embarassing for our team and recruits.
It's really pretty amazing. Saban has put us into a position to contend for national titles EVERY year. Every year we've ranked #1 since his 2nd season. And yet some of our jackass homers expect every Saturday night to look like New Orleans or Dallas.
Oh well. Guess this is what makes BOL so entertaining some days.
Agree with you 1000% DT.
But the stands had empty seats! We didn't win by 40 points! Yeldon is losing the Heisman!
90% of the "fans" complaining are the same "fans" who have never been to a game but will line up for 48 hours in front of the gate on Fan Day so they can add another Nick Saban autograph to their coffee table collection.
WE ARE 5-0!! WE ARE DOMINATING EVERYONE!! THE OFFENSE WAS VANILLA THIS WEEK TO KEEP OLE MISS' OFFENSE OFF THE FIELD!! ITS CALLED GAMEPLANNING!!
Jesus...it's not that hard to understand what Saban is doing.
As always we are never as good as the sunshine pumpers think and never as bad as the Debbie downers think.
We are dominant, but did not play to the Alabama standard. Remember we are not grading ourselves as much playing another team as playing to the standard. That said a win is a win. 19 points over SEC opponent. Not bad.
I mean, do you want to be LSU with a 16-pt home win over TOWSON, or us with a 19-pt win over Ole Miss in a conference game?
Billy Bammer Gump: "I mean, Paaawl, I don't know what the hay-ull Saban and that Noosebarger are doing, Paaawl."
Billy Bammer Gump: "I know that Paaawl, but, but ... but ..."
Paul: "We'll be right back."

I love all the people saying that our offense was vanilla. Who from our coaching staff has said that. That game was closer and tougher than the rest. Why would we keep it vanilla if our O was struggling to run. Or kicking field goals instead of touchdowns. Don't get me wrong I am happy for the win, but to say it was vanilla when there are no indications that it should have been and no coaches or players saying it, you are assuming way too much.
Continually running into 7 and 8 man boxes to keep the clock running is vanilla. Little dink and dunk passes for 4-5 yards across the middle instead of slinging it downfield like the Michigan game is vanilla.
People are acting like we threw everything we had at Ole Miss but they were just too good and it was a "close" game. We did what needed to do to win the game...we didn't need for it to look pretty. The defense had 5 sacks and multiple INTs...the game was never in doubt. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Just guessing that the Debbie Downers are just that kind of people.
I suspect they are whiners and complainers about lots of things
in their lives every day. It is their nature and they are not happy
unless they are unhappy.
Some fans don't want vanilla, they want chocolate.

On Alabama: CeCe Jefferson - "It was a bunch of beautiful women..." Reggie Ragland - "oh the females of course..."
It's the point spread crowd imo. Great post 92.
I think the perception is that we have gone backward since Michigan on offense. On defense we are still giving up more on the ground than last year. In pass defense, Milliner's side is solid but Belue gave up another long pass aginst Ole MIss and that side of the defensive secondary scares me to death. We are going backwards while the competition will
get much better.
We're giving up nearly the identical amount of yards now as we did this time last year.
Couldnt agree with you more on all points!!!!
You are still assuming that unless you have some info you are not sharing. Perhaps we chose to do what we did based on what we were seeing. Or didn't execute well. Or didn't manage the game well.
I am not saying this is the case or that you are wrong, but my point is that we don't know what happened and I seriously doubt CNS is happy we were not punching it into the end zone.
AND... Our Punter doesn't have enough attempts to be in the National or SEC leader statistics either
#Alabama defense has given up less points through this season than last years unit. Bama 1st in Scoring Defense, 2nd in Total defense. #SEC
Your clever picture an absence of logic mean you win.
I made a post yesterday stating that there are too many similarities between the Finebaum show and BOL. Great stuff from the guys on staff. Good posts from some of the people who read this site, but enough whiners and complainers to make you want to avoid the message boards some days.
