I bought tickets from an Aub for the 09 game, and as luck would have it, we sat right behind him, his wife and another couple. They looked to be mid 60s and she looked like a staunch Church of God woman, complete with the hair bun, silk scarf and long dress. He was just a good old country guy. That old bat of a wife of his spewed venom the entire game, making snide remarks about Bama the whole game with her head turned so we'd be sure to hear it.
When it was finally over, not able to hold it in, veins in her temples bulging, she turned around and spit out (I mean literally spittle coming in my direction), "Well, Ingram ain't gon win that Heisman!" I smiled and all I could say was thanks for selling me the tickets and Roll Tide! Enjoy your evening.
As we walked off, you could hear her giving her husband holy hell for selling tickets to Bama fans. It was cold as hell and I was just glad to get out of that place.

I was at that game. The only reason the au fans cheered for the team after the game was because the public announcer asked them to.
I was at that game. It was the epitome of delusional. When i was walking back to my car two guys in their 20's ran up and starting yelling in my face some war dang eagle crap, and than kept running to the next Bama fan doing the same thing. I swear many of them i think thought they won the game. I kept shaking my head. I heard many tiger fans talking about ingram not going to win a heisman because of that game. I left there completely weirded it out by the whole thing. But it was awesome.
Someone from BOL wrote an awesome follow up to that with a Bama version of "something unexpected happened"
Anybody remember what I'm talking about?
Nice bump, +1. It still makes me chuckle how auburn fans were so happy about losing to their hated rival on their home field in heart crushing fashion. Barners gonna barn, I guess.
After the game I wasn't quite I was running down the side walk like a drunken fool yelling "We're #1!!!! Suck my auburn"
I was there from Chicago. Worth every penny. McElroy to Upchurch FTW!
They were winning with 2 minutes left, and had a chance to win. Of course they stayed. It wasn't about "honor."
Auburn fans will do anything to spin things positive. We get mad when we give up a touchdown, they saw the ULM game as a "clutch victory." Just how it is.

How long did that last drive last wasn't it like 7 or 8 minutes long. I think every barn fan in the stadium knew what was coming I know I did. Silly barners.
I was in the stadium that day, and he is FOS to think that Bama fans were "eerily quiet". Chants of Roll Tide and Rammer Jammer rained down on Jordan Hare. What a hysterically sad collection of thoughts the author put together in that post. That takes "moral victory" to a level of which I haven't seen before.
This guy is 100% douche canoe.
The birth of the moral victory
