that make me feel very good about our chances Jan 7th
All unranked teams-
Purdue - Pass 37 Rush 30 - Lost 20-17
Pitt - Pass 29 Rush 33 - Lost in 3OT
BYU - Pass 36 Rush 25 - Lost by 3 (7 of those passes are on the final drive by BYU)
All 4 ranked teams -
Stanford - Pass 25 Rush 40 - Lost in OT, but is a better team than ND
Michigan State - Pass 45 Rush 20 - Lost by 17
Oklahoma - Pass 52 Rush 24 - Lost by 17
Michigan- Pass 25 Rush 41 - Lost 7 with 6 turnovers
Miami - Pass 35 Rush 18 - Got blown out
Alabama - The most balanced offense in the country.
excellent find! now the question remains do we have better athletes than mighty Pitt?
Judging by my argument on their boards they think they are elite!!
Except I have no desire to be balanced whatsoever in this one. Pound it at'm. Over, and over, and over, and over, and over ... until we MTAQ.
Just check out the stats for both teams vs Michigan..that should tell you everything you need to know!!!
Some of that is a mirage. When teams get behind, they have to pass.
That's going to be glorious when ND just flails their arms to the sky asking for the game to be over but it is just the start of the 4th.
That's my hope as well. If the running game is dominating maintaining balance is unnecessary. Imo, that's been somewhat of an issue for us. We sometimes force the issue of being "balanced" even when we don't have to. I hope we run the ball at Notre Dame until we break them and let them feel the power of Alabama and big boy SEC football.
