Just by reading that board for 5 minutes, I'm already amped up to play. Here's a gem:
1) Bama is 1 dimentional. They only have one receiving threat. Thats a great matchup for how our D is built.
2) Bama's Center really struggles with big NG's. Nix will be in the backfield a lot.
3) The size and athleticism of Georgia's front would give us problems. Golic would struggle with both NG/DT's and
4) Georgia has a much better pass rush than Bama
5) Georgia runs more spread looks than Bama
6) Aaron Murry is a more athletic Qb which can make more plays with his feet than McCarron.
7) Saban's 3-0 record in the NC has nothing to do with this season and these teams.
8) Bama is slower on D than UGA and struggle containing mobile QB's. (Robinson isn't a QB. He's a RB no matter what anyone says)
On top of it all, if we played UGA instead of Bama and won...haters would
still clamor that we didnt beat the real SEC 'champ" or best team.
I thought we dispelled the pass rush myth last night. Guess not.
Whistling past the grave yard. We put up 530 yards and 32 points on a D that is as good as ND's last night. ND scored 21 on USC, which can't tackle anybody.
Several close Notre dame friends who all texted me their displeasure with the outcome last night. Tells you all you need to know.
Same thing here, I think I'm just going to go silent about the game with them. Arguing with my ND friends is pointless.

Well I was at the game and there were a few times we got pressure with four but there were a lot of times where Murray had all day to throw.
A lot of the points in the ND post are accurate. Murray is more athletic than AJ for instance and UGA does show more spreead looks for example.
Can't wait to watch this game on TV to see all the little things I could not see there.
Can there be more wrong in a single post?

I thought only rushing three was a mistake personally. I'm glad it worked out though.
Number 7 is true.
Edit: Except there are some of the same players from those teams.

Except for the fact it proves CNS and his teams are the very best at winning big games and championships.
I stopped at number 2. You don't rack up 350 yards against anyone with a center that "struggles" with big defensive tackles. Our offensive line put a beating on Georgia's defensive line.
ND has a tough squad, and I think they are capable of winning the game if they get a few bounces, calls, TOs, etc. to go their way. But I said this before the FSU/UF and Clemson/SCAR games when lots of people were predicting ACC wins, and I'll say it again here. You CANNOT overestimate the difference in size, speed, and physicality that the top SEC teams bring with them. Make no mistake about it, ND will see a different animal than anything they've faced all year.
This is the same team that beat Purdue, Pitt, and BYU by three points each and squeaked by Mich by one TD. Yes, they are solid, they are tough, they are resilient. But we will run the ball on them. We probably won't run for 300+ but I would expect something in the 180-250 range. Look no further than 2009 against Texas. The horns brought the number one rush defense in the country to that game and both our young backs went for over 110 on them. And that was with a non-existent passing game. Yeah, UT's defense looked great against those Big 12 opponents, but they were facing a team like none other they had seen in that game.
I think the big questions will be:
Can AJ play a solid game and avoid negative plays?
Can we cover ND WRs downfield when we don't get pressure?
If we can hold up reasonably well in those two areas and avoid the uncharacteristic mistakes that have plagued us in big games so far this year (INTs, fumbles, blocked kicks, muffed punts), I don't see us losing this game.

Did AJ not escape the pocket for positive yards on multiple occasions yesterday? Saying Murray is more athletic is splitting hairs IMO.
Damn near housed one right before the half.
