If the passer loses control going forward it's still incomplete he loses ball while tucking, it's a fumble.
(It's a little late for the Raiders)

Bout time they changed this one.
Damn both of y'all ruined my joke.
Is this official? ESPN is only reporting that it's being "considered".
Assuming it is, what if he tucks it and then loses possession? Under the current rules, that's a tuck and incomplete pass. It sounds like it would be a fumble, but they need to make it clear.
As you have that stated....its tucked therefore that motion has ceased which would make it a fumble I believe. The actual tuck rule only applies when there is motion by the QB's throwing arm. Either an incomplete pass if lost moving forward (throwing motion) or now the change in the tuck rule if the arm is being moved downward in a tucking motion. Once that is complete - and the ball comes out - can't see it would be anything other than a fumble in that instance We Think (g)
Okay, I just checked the rule and you're right, it specifically says that a tuck and then loss of possession is a fumble. I could have sworn that Sam Bradford did this against the Dolphins and it was called an incomplete pass. I guess they determined that his arm was still moving.
Ask Brady if he fumbled and every time without fail, he just grins and says no comment. Every time he gets put on his back I GRIN!
