They're going to Georgia-Clemson. That's a huge game.
Christopher Walsh covers Alabama football for BamaOnline, 247Sports, and is the author of 18 books.
speaks to our expected domination. If this game was expected to be close I think we would have gotten it. And they will be covering Bama in week 3 vs. A&M
Ok, this is new, the show is expanding to three hours.
Too much of a good thing?
It's a tone setter for those two squads for sure.
I'm really not sure who will win it either. Expect a lot of offense though

No, just a better match up.
Herbie, Corso, and Fowler for all three hours or different guys depending on the hour?
They were already doing 3 hrs last year, just with the 1st hour appearing on ESPNU with ErinA hosting. I also can't imagine Corso going for 3hrs, they don't even have him do the whole 2 hours anymore. It'll be interesting to see how the rotation is handled.
yes, 3 hours is too much
i dont think anyone expects vatech to hang within 3-4 TDs of us, so the location makes perfect sense
Clemson vs. Georgia is a much more interesting matchup than Bama vs V. Tech. And like others have said, they'll be in college station to cover us vs A&M.
As in three hours plus the hour on ESPNU? If they're just making the ESPNU hour part of the main show (hosted by Fowler etc.), that's fine.
Georgia-Clemson is a no-brainer. Our game is #1 vs. unranked and the line is like three TDs.
Will the SEC network be starting their pregame show this this year?
Is that to compete with the New Fox sports 1 or whatever it is? I think I read that it was going to be a 3 hour show.
Hey, never can get too much football...why not?

Gameday will be at A&M for our game and in Tuscaloosa for the LSU game.
Va Tech isn't pulling their weight as far as preseason hype, or they would be at the Georgia dome too.
Not really. UGA vs Clemson is a much bigger game.
I have an internal alarm clock that wakes me up at 11:21am every Saturday during football season. No Gameday for me
Yes, but TiVo cuts out the noise
hope we smoke'em
If Georgia beats Clemson, USCe and LSU in the first month of the season, Richt will be the leading candidate for SEC coach of the year and up for national awards too.
I'm looking forward to the new Fox morning show that will rival College Gameday. The panel is Erin Andrews, Clay Travis, and Eddie George, with a 4th (coach) to be named soon. It will be interesting to see what kind of market share they take from ESPN.
Honestly UGA and Clemson is the reason I'm not going to the VaTech game. I wanna watch that game almost as much as ours...it's gonna be a good one.
no reason not to go to our game. I'll DVR that one and be in the dome. Can't wait!
the auburn alarm clock?
ole miss fan?
Speaking of our VT game...was looking at a few other 247 sites the other day....caught some funny comments on VT's site. In talking about their game with us, a guy started out saying that he thought VT would beat Bama and gave 3 reasons he thought they would win. Several people said they all needed to face reality, that VT would lose to Bama....that anytime Bama loses a player, he's replaced with another future NFL 1st round draft pick. One of the funniest replies to this was the guy who laid it out on the line; he said that there were 3 reasons Bama beats VT: offense, defense, & special teams.
