Does Richt do the unthinkable and hire TT? Will Luper get a offer to A&M be with his son? Will Chiz get that offer from Kiffin and USCw? I don't know, but all I know is that the most talked about coaches at au the past few years are now out of a job and their doors don't seem to be getting knocked on as much as an au fan would think just 12 months ago. I think a guy like Dabo would extend an offer to TT. Just seems like a perfect fit.
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”
Chiz has a 3 year paid buyout right now. I doubt he is in a big hurry to find employment.
Troopah will find a job - guys like him always land on their feet somewhere...
I have never seen much about Luper. Cant say one way or another on how dirty he is/was...
That contract is only good if he seeks employment during that three-year span. He has to show applicable attempts at employment. I know they're always around this stipulation, but we all know about Auburn lawyers and they will have none of that. This goes for all of the fired coaches there.
It's not about how dirty Luper was as much as it is about where his production as a coach and developer of talent comes from. It's basically zero. Those guys are strictly recruiters who don't know what to do with guys once they get on campus other than to act like their buddy and coddle to their young immature ways that you would think they would grow out of at least a little bit in college.
Sure, but the odds are that he phones that job search in the way Kirby interviewed at auburn - establishing ridiculous preconditions, asking to sleep with the Chancellor's daughter, grabbing the good scotch out of the bar, maybe letting a loud one fly, etc.
Luper will get a job. Dont know about Trooper Tyalor
^^^^^^Your probably right, but--------------------------------------

The only people who saw Kirby's preconditions as ridiculous are the higher ups at AU. He wanted control without them being in the middle of things, that isn't too much to ask. I highly doubt Kirby mailed it in on that interview. He would have taken that job if they had given him what he asked.
You think Kirby didn't know they'd reject those conditions? Could be, but if so, he doesn't know auburn as well as I think he does. There's no way they could have stood for those.
Kirby was gone if they had agreed upon those particular condtions.
he may have known that they would reject those conditions, but thats a totally different thing than saying to himself "im gonna flop in this interview because i dont really want this job" make no mistake, Kirby wanted that job. He went in and said "these are the things its gonna take for me to win here, and these are the things i need from your university" and the two sides couldnt come to an agreement. Thats just how these things go sometimes.
Wait....you're telling me you are NOT supposed to do those things during an interview?
Fair enough, but my point was that gene likely doesn't "look" for a job with any more expectation of getting it than Kirby did the auburn job. If they'd gone for his stipulations, they might as well have changed the name of the school to "Alabama, Jr."
Chiz could just sit out and spend time with family.., would be a good def coordinator ...I could see Luper going to Tex A&M ... But I think trooper T might be poison now.....will be surprised if TT gets job anytime soon
