Losing doesn't make me want to quit. It makes me want to fight that much harder-Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant

Had u rather lose to a pathetic tenn team or win,get a life he played and coached at Ala.
Gottfried was a good coach until 2006. Thats when his recruiting classes started falling apart, his teams started sucking, and it got ugly. When we lost about 10 guys to transfers b/c of Gottfried, we were doomed. Al Webber, Avery Jukes, Yamene Coleman, Rico Pickett, Glenn Miles. Throw in the fact that Ray George failed to make it into school and those guys were all supposed to take over the core of our team, along with J. Green, from Richard Hendrix, Ron Steele, Jean Felix, etc. But because Gottfried screwed up either in character evaluation or he screwed up as a human being towards his players, we ended up with all those guys transferring and the best player on our team ended up being Mykal Riley, who was a great 3-pt shooter and saved the lives during the tornado game, but was always a complementary player who lived off the drive and kick created by others.
Grant lost yesterday because of poor offensive sets as usual, but we got screwed. I haven't seen refs that bad since the game 2 years ago in Nashville against Vandy when they blew like 4 calls in the final minute to screw us out of what would have been an NCAA Tourney resume building win (would have put us in over UAB that year). I'm much happier with Grant because we know that we'll win the games we're supposed to more times than not (yesterday was a toss-up game). Next year is the year that Grant better prove he can make us better than just ho-hum though. He kind of gets a pass this year due to Engstrom and Steele's injuries as well as not having any big men, but if he doesn't make us a 25-win team next year, he'll have a lot to answer for.
