Overall, I thought they've been great, but there are a few things I won't miss at all. Feel free to add your own.
1. Being tipped off beforehand about every result whether I wanted to be or not.
2. The blaring trumpet at beach volleyball.
3. Bad announcing.
4. NBC promos.
5. Gold-medal female athletes being asked about Justin Bieber.
6. That annoying song NBC played over and over again for the women's gymnastics team.
7. Everything the local NBC affiliate did to try and take advantage of and endlessly promote.
8. Really bad announcing.
9. The mascots.
10. BMX racing.
(I was going to put "The French" for No. 10, but some people probably wouldn't get the joke)

Christopher Walsh covers Alabama football for BamaOnline, 247Sports, and is the author of 18 books.
definitely number 1...hate knowing the results...takes all the fun out of it
5. What'd I miss?
10. Shame on you!
"Quit trying to make a play and do your job!"
Folks asking about pics so 1. Near Skagway AK 2. Ketchikan AK 3. Space Needle in Seattle. This summer was a great trip.
Let's get more specific...Nancy Carillo and Ryan Secrest (really?)
"You don't always get what you want, but you always get what you deserve"
What about Jimmy "most awkward comedian of all time" Fallon?
Strange you never see them at the same time
I would add NBC trying to shove The New Normal down our throat. It's not normal people.
All of the above.
I have no issues with Nancy -
What drives me nuts are things like an announcer not knowing basic English and referring to China as "they."
Or shoving a microphone in someone's face and asking the wrong question at an inappropriate time.
... and so on.
NBC's best announcer may have been Mike Emrick, and for some stupid reason he was doing water polo.
Oh, and I was furious when NBC ran the Today show promo that gave away the result of a swimming race moments before they showed it.
The BMX racing was the moment I quit trying to watch. At that point they had jumped the shark.
Definitely agree with #6
As previously stated, BMX
Playing the ratings game and building up the big events then putting them on just before midnight during the work week...
Plus, I simply HATE Nbc...

Haha I told my wife the same thing after each of those commercials came on.
While I am no fan of NBC, I am currently living abroad I have to say the Sky sports coverage was absolutly atrocious. It was nearly impossible to figure out when events were being played. I completely missed the US women's gymnastics winning the team gold because I couldn't find it. However, Fencing and Archery were on two dedicated channels it seemed. (Note, Fencing is not made for TV.) Last but not least, English people cannot and should never announce Basketball. It's a freaking Pick and Roll!!!
I was eating lunch today where the place had on a TV and saw 5 women dancing around throwing what looked like 5 volleyballs. I still don't know what the sport was, looked liked synchronized ball throwing with some kid of dancing.
I'd rather strap on a tin beak and peck sheet with the chickens than listen to that women doing the color on the diving.

There was one time during prime time, it was swimming before Phelps broke the all time medals record...I had purposely not watched the results and went out of my way to be sure I didn't see anything, and 5-10 minutes before the actual event they ran the Visa promo with Morgan Freeman dubbing saying congratulations Michael Phelps on becoming the most decorated Olympian ever...I stared at my wife and said did you just hear that they gave it away. I was ticked.
My biggest issue was having trendy announcers doing light hearted bits as well as nfl dudes covering sports to promote Sunday night football. Like asking Tony Dubgee about the difference between Olympic athletes and football players. Really? I like Tony, but c'mon.
