Shot you a couple of upvotes. I thought it was funny and knew exactly what you were referring to.
It's cool man just laughing at the staleness in humor I guess. Back at ya.
"Nobody makes me bleed my own blood, nobody!"
The important part of this story is that the Hornets will be back in Charlotte where they belong. The Hornets nickname and purple and teal unis are infinitely better than the Bobcats/orange and blue.
Now we just need to figure out how to replicate Muggsy, Zo and Grandmama. #bringbackthebuzz
That's what I thought as well. Didn't MJ say recently that he would be open to changing the Charlotte mascot back to Hornets if it became available?
Yes. The Pelicans announcement was yesterday, and within minutes MJ had emailed a survey to season ticket holders about the name change. It's almost a certainty, and since the NBA still owns the brand, it's an easy transition. Charlotte Hornets throwback gear sells almost as well as Bobcats gear. The bringbackthebuzz movement has been going strong with t-shirts, bumper stickers, a dedicated section at the game, parties at local bars, etc.
Bob Johnson, the egomaniacal former owner who named the Bobcats after himself, is generally hated by Charlotte basketball fans. Between that and the fact that people are still pissed the Hornets left in the first place, the city needs a fresh start. The Hornets led the league in attendance for 10 straight years when they were here, while the Bobcats are near the bottom.
For those of you who do not know/ do not remember Charlotte was nicknamed the Hornets Nest of the American Revolution. So the mascot there actually has meaning unlike your local high school
I was hoping for the Krewe or the Rhythm.
Name seems pretty lame to me, at least the color scheme looks promising.
Dumbass name. But I would've voted for Coonasses.
Back in the day, I ran a 3.9 in the 20
I thought it was funny. I thought my post was too though. Guess I'm wrong.
Ha. Don't let the corndogs hear that. It is their word.
Shouldn't it be the New Orleans Chocolates? I thought they were the Chocolate City?
Edit: On a side note Nagin, the idiot who I'm referencing, was just Larry Langford style indicted. He's going to jail. Maybe the two can talk about ways new ways to screw over the occupants of their respective cities and who did a better job of running their city into the ground.
