"Outkick the Coverage" has given Bama 5 to 1 odds to win the 2014 NC. Interestingly enough, they've given the Barners 400:1 odds. Since Cam is obviously the "1" in this equation, I think it's safe to say Barn Academy want be winning anything this year or in years to come!
Well the bottom two get to battle it out next year for more irrelevance
i can definitely see us slipping a little next year, but we will always have a good chance to win every game. we will need to develop some depth on the OL and DL. really need mosely to stay and not just play but lead the other new guys.
hmmm... So we are skipping the 2013 season altogether... Gonna be a long 20 months without football.
Our schedule sets up perfectly for us to run the table...
A depleted V-Tech team that's really no where near where they were over the past 10 years. We should be a 14+ favorite.
A week off before we play an A&M Team that does have Johnny Football, but that will be losing a ton of seniors and a ton of line-men. Will be a battle, but a game the Tide should win.
Ole Miss will be tough at home the next week, but still, we are Alabama and they are Ole Miss. We should win this game.
Arkansas and Tennessee will still be depleted and we should be able to win these games especially with the Homefield advantage.
As usual, it all comes down to the LSU game, which this year we will have an off week before and will be at Home. LSU will be super tough as always. So really, it comes down to this game.
SEC Championship Game - IMO will be against Florida who will be stacked next year. That will be fun to watch.
So even though Bama will be losing a lot, our Schedule sets up perfectly for us to run the table again. 5 to 1 don't sound so far fetched.

when does the rose bowl do the ticket reserve? I hope soon because I'm jumping all over that. Pasadena was a blast in '09

A&M losing their OC too.
The 2013 (year) championship is played in January of 2014. Not sure, but thinking that's what they meant...
Roll Tide! :/)
We'll be pretty stacked next year....I mean I know our Oline will take a hit, but we should have a top notch unit. CY and Steen will be at least first team All-SEC and we have some solid depth behind our first team now. The only position on offense I'm worried about is RT. WRs will be a step up (hopefully everyone comes back healthy)and same with RBs. We have a few holes in the defense, but we can find five DBs out of Sunseri, Belue, Fulton, Smith, HaHa, and Collins for our dime packages. We also have plenty of depth at LB and DE. Im a little worried about Ivory and Lake at NT, but I honestly think Lake takes over and they provide a nice 1-2 combo.
From what I've read on here the reserves went on sale on Dec. 20th last year. I'm not missing out this time. I also try to plan to reserve a hotel in Old Town Pasadena after the first of the year. It seems a lot of hotels don't take reservations more than 1 year in advance.
This was supposed to be a down year too.
What he said.....if ever there was a year that attrition should've affected it was this year....with all of the major losses on the defensive side of the ball along with the injuries that we've had to our skill guys along the way.
I think our defense will make major strides next year(not that they were bad this year). As TR said, AJ choosing to return was also huge for our offense especially early in the year. I think next year sets up better than this year as far as Bama's chances go.
Is there a way to see this without giving Clay Travis a hit on his website. I can't bring myself to click on it.
Agreed. He built his website by trolling the state of Alabama.
BCS bowls feel like they're months away. Johnny Football has received his coronation into football royalty and we're already talking about the chances of him winning a 2nd time. Names like Bielema, Stoops, Malzahn, and Jones now claim ownership for some of the SEC's biggest reclamation projects. Coach Petrino has found work as new head man of the He'll Top Hers after Willie Taggart's departure for USF. Rest assured college football fans of programs not named Notre Dame or Alabama, it's never too early to look towards next year with the unveiling of my odds to win the 2014 national championship.
From my time as an oddsmaker at Caesars Palace, establishing futures markets posed a challenge. Where will the longshots come from? What team can take the next step forward? Who are the public sides that fans blinded by optimism will bet regardless of price? All these questions swirl annually but the reality is outside of the usual suspects, there's no way to tell who comes flying out of the gates at 10-0 like the Irish this year (opened 40-1) or Auburn 2 years ago (opened 150-1) to catch the sportsbooks by surprise.
I know these aren't the exact prices that will be featured on betting boards the first week in January however they'll give you a baseline of what to expect. Keep in mind prices assume elite pro prospects will forego their senior seasons for dreams of NFL glory. If Aaron Murray pulls a Matt Barkley and comes back to school, I'll promise you the Dawgs won't be available at 20-1 For fans wondering why their team might not be listed, words can't save you from your own delusions of grandeur. Go ahead, take your shots, snicker, call me names. Do whatever makes you feel better but this is what my big board looks like headed into next season.
Ohio St 10-1
Florida St 15-1
Texas A&M 15-1
South Carolina 18-1
Notre Dame 18-1
Oklahoma St 30-1
Oregon St 60-1
North Carolina 60-1
West Virginia 60-1
Virginia Tech 60-1
Boise St 75-1
Michigan St 90-1
Kansas St 90-1
Ole Miss 90-1
Mississippi St 100-1
North Carolina State 150-1
Arizona St 150-1
Georgia Tech 200-1
Texas Tech 200-1
Washington St 500-1
The one team that should be included here is the Miami Hurricanes but given their self imposed bowl ban and possible sanctions, they've been omitted.
*When odds are opened at the various sportsbooks both here in Vegas and offshore, we'll be among the first to publish on these same OKTC pages.
Vandy's got a better shot than Auburn.
Next year's National Champion will be determined when Alabama plays Florida in the SECCG.
The only guys I'm concerned with losing are on the o line and Dee. Other than that we are good. If we can overcome the loses from last season to make this championship game then we can do it again next year. A senior QB is going to help a great deal with the loses at oline, coupled with a stable of running backs and a slew of receivers.
Mosley will move to a full time role on D which will be huge. We have a lot talent along the D line and we have some incredible LBs growing up. Our safety positions should be fine, but corner is the question on D imo. I'm really happy about Geno showing progress but we will need more players to emerge at the corner position.
The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 2 Cor 10:4
I agree. LSU will yet again be tough. However, we took their best shot in their house and we still won the game. I love us at home against LSU with a week off to prepare and get healthy. They had a huge advantage with a week off this season. They looked fresh, we didn't.
