Should have been shared equally between Lacy, the O-Line, and AJ.
AJ had 8 incompletions - 4 drops, 2 throwaways, and the 2 long balls to Cooper. Made numerous pinpoint throws. Always threw to the "right" guy. ND defenders did not touch a single AJ pass.
Oline - 0 (I say ZERO!) QB sacks or QB hits allowed. Rushed for 250+ yards.
Such a trivial matter imo. But the physical runs of Lacy. Set the tone of the whole game. He was very deserving of the MVP.

To you maybe, but probably not to the players and I agree with the OP.

I agree with you completely on a trivial matter but mine would go to AJ. The kid was zoned in, protected the football perfectly and had at least 4 that could / should have been completed. Really didn't have a bad miss the entire game.
20/28; .714; 264 yds, 4 TDs, 0 INTs, 198 QB rating with a few narrow misses and dropped passes.
We are flat out unbeatable if AJ plays like that. We can put up big points on any defense in college football.
AJ couldn't make those throws if we weren't first successful running on them...that drew up the safeties and made the play action throws more successful....if Eddie wasn't successful we would have had more of a replay of last year....even though we had moderate success on LSU..
Some say it should have been the entire ND defense or at least their front 7.

Did Bama score on both of the drives when they just missed on the long ball to Cooper? If so, was it rushing or passing TD's? I can't recall right now, going to rewatch when I get home.
I agree but this all goes hand in hand. The oline & running game makes AJ's job very easy. When they are clicking like the other night.
On the one that he just bombed and Cooper accelerated by the CB and safety....the answer is no. We punted shortly after. I can't recall on the shorter one in the endzone.
I agree that the degree of difficulty was lowered in that the running game was successful but his accuracy was dead on the entire game regardless. Anyway just my opinion, the manbearpig7 MVP goes to AJ....
I agree. I also think that HA-HA should have been Co-Defensive MVP.
I think when giving these awards out the decision makers like to narrow it down a little more than 72% of the starters on one side of the ball. I'm perfectly fine with Lacy getting it even though the entire offense played great. Can't give it to everyone.
