“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift of God, which is why we call it the present.”
Listening to that Justin Hokenson (?sp.) this morning on 97.3 basically coming on and trying to back door defend everything as nonfact on the radio this morning was hilarious. The typical Auburnite: discredit the source, shoot the messenger. It's all there.

Well I hate that they deleted my thread informing everyone that Finebaum would be on ESPN just a few minutes ago. He was on and maybe someone could post the brief interview with Wendy Nix that just aired.
Finebaum was just on Sports Center didn't think the NCAA had the stones to open another investigation at the barn, but added if some of those guys stick to the story with the bribes and grade changing the NCAA might have something to go with, and he also said people outside of Auburn, view barn NC as tainted.

"We thought we would be without (running back) Mike Dyer because he said he was one of them, but Auburn found a way to make those dudes eligible," Mike Blanc, a multiple-year starter along the Tigers' defensive line, told Roberts.
Yes Mike, I can see how your quotes were taken out of context. Next time, please be more clear.
exactly. This am Hokenson (sp?) was sputtering on some nonsensical blabbering about Blanc doing 2 different interviews and the first one meant nothing and he was "misunderstood", so he had a SECOND one, and everything was suddenly "right" in the second one (what that means is that in between interviews the Auburnite strongfellows got to him and told him it would be "best" to retract what you've said negatively about Auburn, so he got scared and asked for a second interview to "clarify" things---basically to save his arse)...
1. It is easy for me to believe the Muschamp part of this because paying players is so ingrained in the culture there. Also easy for me to believe that is one reason he bolted for Texas as soon as he could.
2. It would be a huge shock if a NYT reporter with the experience of SR didn't have all of the quotes on tape.
3. Regardless of what the NCAA does this just further drives AU's reputation into the gutter.
4. This give you a good perspective into how cheating will eventually destroy your program from within. Players get bitter when the money stops flowing, players get jealous of other players, players are uncoachable. Clear the both Tubs(HBO 4) and Chizik lost their teams, as did Dye back in the 90s. Short term gratification for long term structural damage to the program.
That's my thinking. Sounds like a good interviewer who got them relaxed and saying things he doesn't "remember" and the only thing he can do when confronted by the fambly is say "I was miss quoted/ out of context".
It would truly be poetic justice if they lost their tainted championship over this after skating on sCam. That said, it's going to take some aggressiveness on the part of investigators because the barn will once again hunker down and lawyer up.
