Just got my morning laugh from Delgreco. They are discussing Ole Miss and who beats them. Deltaco starts reeling off Texas, LSU, Bama, and wait for it...Aubarn as definite losses. What is he smoking? Ole Miss will probably throttle aubarn. The crazy is strong with that one and that show.
Bur it peaked my interest after hearing and remembering how close they came to beating LSU and A&M last year, as well as other close games. Texas on the schedule is interesting. A win there would really start the hype train. And after seeing Phils computer projections placing them third based on production where do yall see this heading? How many wins? Do they even beat Vandy at the start of the year?
Colin Cowherd says they win 9 or 10 games, including Texas. I usually put weight on his remarks and trust him.

I'd still say 7 wins max. Probably 6 though imo.

We beat ole miss pretty good last year, but they played hard. If they play as tough as they did against us, I can easily 8-9 wins.
Looking at schedule i see six they should win, 2 losses and 4 toss ups with two of the toss ups being Texas and Tex am where they will not be favored and two toss ups where they will be favored so 8 wins realistic and 9-10 a possibility and a great year.
Anybody assuming Auburn is going to definitely win any SEC game is delusional. They are starting this season from scratch from a credibility standpoint.
Dude I literally burst out laughing when deltaco said that. He put aubarn in with the big boy schools like there was never a doubt they didnt belong lol. After watching that abortion that aubarn was last year and think any game this year was a definite win is beyond me. I dunno, maybe ole Philp Marshall is writing Delgrecos material now that he "retired" from AUC and the Butta Hurta.
I think that's due to the fact some teams got drunk in the locker room before playing auburn last year in a misguided attempt to even the playing field a little. +1 for their sense of sportsmanship IMO.
Honestly, I think Mss State will be better than Ole Miss this year.
Nah last year was their best shot.
3 definite losses in Bama, LSU, aTm,
Plus I think possibly 1 more loss randomly in the schedule where they just blow a game
Add a win in a bowl and we are at 9-4, 10-3 best case if they don't lose a game they should win
Never Gets Old
Vandy - W (close game)
SE missouri - W
Texas - L
Bama - L
Auburn - W
A&M - L
LSU - L
Idaho - W
Ark - W
Troy - W
Mizzou - W
MSU - W
9-4 with bowl

I only see 5 sure-fire wins on that schedule for Ole Miss.
Swing games with Vandy, MSU and Auburn.
Might have a puncher's chance against Texas (who should be very good this year, but...Mack Brown) and LSU (not sure what to expect from this this year).
I would go with 7-5, thinking they win 2 of 3 swing games and lose the rest.
15 National Championships, 23 SEC Championships, NCAA Record 60 Postseason Bowl Appearances, NCAA Record 35 Bowl Victories
Vandy - W
SE Missouri - W
Texas - W I think Mack Brown is fully processed. He can't coach or recruit. It seems like he's just spinning in circles until they kick him out.
Bama - L
Auburn - W
aTm - Toss up How is aTm going to respond to the beatdown just a few weeks before? This could be their "Year of the Process"
LSU - L
Idaho - W
Ark - W
Troy - W
Mizzou - W
MSU - W
It's also Miss so they could drop all of them and not really surprise me.

phillipians 4:13 CAN-DO all things through Christ which strengthens me.
Don't be shocked if they end up a 9 or 10 win team. They return 17/22 starters, the most in the conference, and have several uber-elite recruits who could make an impact immediately.
Now, I think teams will be much better prepared for Freeze's offense, and Wallace is way too inconsistent to be champion level. Further, this last class was very, very shallow, so I don't expect the success to really stick. But, this should be the beat team on paper for them in a 5 year period.
Lets talk more about ADG counting it as a sure win for AU this am! That is still just hilarious to me. And I am sure Jay agreed with him becuase he cant even name 5 players on any SEC team... and Tony just made a stupid joke about chasing ass, followed by a jesus message to keep jay and al happy.
That's a pretty rosy view of Ole Miss. I think they have no chance in 4 games (LSU, TAMU, AL, and Texas), 3 games they should win easily with Troy, Idaho, and SE Missouri State. Auburn, Vandy, and, MS State will all be tough games for them and Arkansas and Missouri they should be favored but aren't guarantees, so I'll give them 3 of those 5, 4 is pretty much best case scenario. That would make them 6-6 or maybe 7-5. 8-4 or above would truly take a magical season for them (which would take winning every toss up game, or coming up with a HUGE upset).
I have them at nine wins, beating Texas. I think there's enough talent returning to complement incoming guys, East schedule is pretty pedestrian and I think AU and State will be too weak to match up. Plus, that program really believes they can win right now, momentum is a big factor. I think the Vandy Ole Miss game will be a really good one, as I think Vandy pulls off two major upsets during the season...
Remember, Ole Miss's specialty is upsetting LSU. They nearly went to overtime last year and they won outright in 08 and 09. Playing at home, I think they have a really good chance. Vandy has had their number for a while, though; even when they were 2-8, they beat Ole Miss. I think they win one, but not both, of those games and go 8-4 en route to a dominating bowl win to remind everyone the SEC is still on top. Also, I wouldn't bet against Cowherd. He has a knack for this stuff.
i think they get 9 wins and finish 4th in the sec west
Ole Miss played us closer than anyone outside of LSU and aTm... They also had aTm beat had they not run a an sneak from the shotgun
That being said I think 8-4 regular season... Could be 9-3 if they get a break against aTm. That game will be a shoot out
Man, I'm pretty shocked how easily folks are buying the Ole Miss hype. I mean, it's still Ole Miss. I need more proof. And they traditionally don't handle expectations all that well.
Texas beat them down in Oxford last year. I just don't see them going to Texas & winning.
Tough to say, the front half of that schedule is absolutely brutal; at Texas, at Alabama, at Auburn, LSU, & Texas A&M, and depth is a concern. However, they won't lose a game after that stretch is done. I think they'll go 1-4 in those games and finish 8-4.
-3 sure wins on the schedule in SE Mizz St, Idaho, and Troy.
-2 sure losses in @Texas & @Bama
-Of the remaining 7, they will likely be dogs in at least 3 games.
-I will give them Arkansas and Mizz as wins, although neither upset would shock me.
That leaves them at 5-2 w/ LSU, A&M, @AU, @MSU, @Vandy left. While every one of these 5 is winnable, they're all also losable. I don't expect AU to be any good, but they're very unlikely to go winless in the SEC again, much less 1-7, and they get OM after an off week while OM will be coming off a physical beatdown in Tuscaloosa. I'll say they win 2 of these.
My best guess is 7-5. Anything from 6-6 to 9-3 will not shock me though.
